Running head: THE LIFE OF MARCOS HERNANDEZ The Life of Marcos Hernandez Marcos Hernandez THE LIFE OF MARCOS HERNANDEZ The Life of Marcos Hernandez Marcos Hernandez was my best friend. Marcos was the kind of friend who would stand by you in times of need, even if he was extremely busy he would make time to listen and offer some heartfelt advice. Marcos was a man who lived for life and lived for others. I loved everything about that man, and I believe the things that made Marcos is what we all loved about him. Marcos was as loyal as one could possibly be, and his words spoke nothing but the truth.
For this the gods blessed him. The way Argos relates to Odysseus’s part of the passage is how just like the way Odysseus wanted his mother to wait for him, Argos wanted to see his master once again before he died. Argos got his way and with his hateful illness draining his limbs of power his wish came true just before he passed away. Argos was there the whole story seeing everything unfold and he longed for his master to be home in order for him to die peacefully. Argos knew his master was coming and stayed alive just to see him return.
The interview with John Leo was eye opening. His rough childhood and difficult times as an adult did not influence him poorly. He recalls his grandfather as a strong loving man, who made a huge impact on his life. After the loss of his grandfather, his mother abandoned him. Though Leo distrusts women he eventually found love.
Eulogy for Lennie Smalls For those of you who don’t know me, I am George Milton. Not only was Lennie my best friend, he was like a brother to me, and I to him. Lennie’s aunt Clara was a good friend of mine, so when she passed on, I promised I would look after him. He was the kindest, gentlest soul I had ever met, and he never meant any harm to anything or anyone. He was also known to sometimes find himself in sticky situations; the last of which being when he petted Curly’s wife’s hair a little too violently, but he never wished harm on anyone.
This man is amazing on how he perceives life, and how his life was changed forever by a devastating cancer. Randy was a father of three young kids, married to a very understanding and loving wife, Jay, and a professor at Central Michigan University. His future was set in front of him, until he took a trip to the doctor that changed his life. Randy was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer that was going to take his life in a couple of months. Most people would sit at home and complain and cry about it.
Even though Lennie really bothers George at some points, he is a wonderfully loving and devoted friend and would never actually leave Lennie. He also seems to have a very short temper. He is always protecting Lennie. He lies to his boss at one point to make sure that Lennie got the job. Together, these two men have wonderful dreams.
George is one of the main characters, he and Lennie are best friends and they travel from place to place together, including when they go to work. His a independent and caring character who keeps others out of trouble (Lennie). His a small with strong hands, slender arms and a thin and bony nose, also overpowering over Lennie. Lennie is best friends with George, his a tall man whose arms swung at his sides loosely, his a dumb but strong and useful Character, he always gets himself into trouble which George then has to get him out of for the sake of their dream and for the sake of their job which is helping them and candy pay a deposit on their dream house. He also likes to pet mice in his pocket whilst he walks.
Doodle’s brother and Joe compare because Doodle and Simon both depend on these boys for things. They both help to mentor, push, and help Doodle and Simon to do their best. Simon had an impeccable faith in all and in God. Doodle had faith in his brother and himself towards the end of his life. Both boys have pride in themselves because they both are pushing themselves for the better, and they believe vanity is utterly unimportant.
This shows the relationship between Amir, his father and Rahim Khan. This tells us that Baba isn’t very interested in Amir’s writing and Rahim Khan is a very good friend to Amir for always supporting him. 31. He believes Amir will become a great writer one day and he is the one to
On the last day of reading to Mrs. Dubose, Scout asks Atticus what a “nigger-lover” is, and he replies that it is just an insult. She is curious and questions him once more, “You aren’t really a nigger-lover then, are you?” (144). He replies, “I certainly am. I do my best to love everybody… I’m hard put…” (144). This shows his compassion and feelings to everybody that no matter their skin color or social status, he loves them the same way.
