Many of his works, he makes statements that still are relevant to society today. In his biography, Ben sets up an experiment where he aspires to be morally perfect. He names and describes his thirteen virtues that he will work on in order to become the perfect person he wants to be. His plan states he states that he must perfect one virtue before moving on to the next, making him a very humble man.
He is seen to be a rich and successful professional American man. He befriends the Garcia’s and helps them to find their way to America. He is now working toward locating meaningful employment for Mr. Garcia. Mr. Garcia sees in Mr. Fanning what he has lost, he sees a well-respected man with a high paying and meaningful career who can easily maintain the comfort and security of his family. In contrast to this, Mr. Fanning also represents the price that must be paid to gain acceptance and opportunity in America.
However the one thing he desired most that money could never buy was his love and passion for Daisy. Gatsby believed that he could win the love of the woman he longed for by showering her with materialistic items. Tom also took great pride in his earnings and believed he was a better man because of them. Self-belief is a big one for Mark because he took many risks, he was 100% sure that his product would hit big time and since he took that risk it did. Actions that demonstrate Mark’s leadership ability Mark dreamt big, showed commitment and stayed focus. He focused on his dream, and by doing that he had to stay committed, the outcome of that made him a great leader in the business world. People look up to him every day by gaining what he has, which is mostly money and power.
