It wasn’t said about Mao however it adapts to his ideas and aspirations. There are numerous hypotheses regarding the impact that Mao’s leadership has had over China. Mao’s legacy is that the system he established was idealistic. It did not align with the rest of Western culture after the Second World War, but with the population and vast resources that were readily available, “Mao founded Marxist study groups in Changsha.”2 This source from a school history textbook is highly trustworthy as there are many other sources backing up the truth behind it. China was left with a regime that did not respond in correlation with the rest of the world.
This was an economic concession that Lenin was forced to make due to the deteriorating economic conditions and the real threat of a revolt against the Bolshevik government. It was always intended as a temporary measure, and the question after Lenin’s death wasn’t whether it should continue or not, but how it should be put an end to. The debate lay between the left-wing, lead by Trotsky, Zinoviev and Kamenev, who advocated a quick movement into rapid industrialisation, which would mean abandoning the New Economic Policy, militarising the labour forces and exploiting peasants for grain to fund the industrialisation; and the right-wing, led by Bukharin, who wanted to continue the New Economic Policy for another 20 years, which would mean peasants would grow wealthier and be encouraged to buy consumer goods, which in turn would lead to more products being made in factories and a gradual process of industrialisation. This became a passionate issue because economic policy was also at the heart of the debate of what a socialist society should look like. The growth of a rich super class led to activities such as property dealing, land speculation, gambling and prostitution, all of which conflicted greatly with the ideology of Communism.
Tsar Nicholas II wasn’t much of a good ruler for Russia; he ignored the fact that Russia wasn’t doing so good and overlooked the industrialization and nationalism that was occurring throughout Russia. Nicholas II disregarded the troubles the Russians were facing and seemed to only care about himself and him staying in power. This caused people to revolt as they needed a good strong leader to help Russia survive. The main leader who started China’s revolution was Sun Yat-sen who believed China should adopt a democratic government if it were to survive. The revolutions led by him eventually led to the fall of the Qing Dynasty in China.
Economy was an initiative to stop prevents people from supporting Great Britain. Farmers were given pre-emption rights which would increase the economy (Doc E). The new government built after the American Revolution was built on the foundation of fundamental economic interests (Doc H). The American Revolution was Revolutionary by bringing social changes. There were new relationships between people of different classes.
Karl Marx, born 1818, was alive during a time which saw the biggest period of change in Britain in modern times, a time of Industrialisation. In a relatively short space of time, one hundred to two hundred years, Britain had gone from a long standing agrarian society to the first industrial society the world had seen. A historic move from a farming economy to an economy based on factory production had taken place. This undoubtedly had an influence on his theory, which concentrated on the capitalist system Britain had so abruptly moved in to, why it had come about, it's inherent problems and why it would eventually fall to a conflict free society. In this new capitalist period, the more simplified means of production as seen in feudalism, had developed into a “complex industrial state” as stated in Haralambos and Holborn (2008).
He, McCarthy was never able to produce actual evidence of actual communism. Joseph McCarthy intimidated many people. This is not the sign of a true patriot. Had he been a patriot he would have led people with proven truths not misconstrued lies. The followers he had were impressed with his fearless assaults on government establishments.
• Did the NEP really fail or did it suit Stalin to make it look as though it had? (Scissor Crisis)Look at statistics to see how far production increased during the NEP • Was the change due to economic circumstances (e.g. need for self-sufficiency; grain procurement crisis)? • Or did he have other motives e.g. political (defeat of the right –Bukharin), • Ideological (NEP hated by communists; class war against the kulaks; socialism in one country), • Strategic (i.e.
Wanted to abolish private farms and introduce collective farming. (Any profits made by collective farms would be used to develop the USSR’s industry. • Stalin didn’t get involved in the debate over the NEP- this was a clever move because it meant be could win support both from those who backed Bukharin (‘right communists’) and those who back Trotsky (‘left communists’) Stalin as General Secretary: • Had complete control over the inner workings of the Communist party. • Used his position to promote his supporters and side-line his opponents. • Had access to secret files on party members that he received from the Cheka.
How successful were Stalin’s industrial policies in developing the Russian economy in the years 1928-41 ? During the first five year plans Stalin focuses on developing the countries economy as a means to turn the Soviet Union into a modern world power and to improve the living standards of all Soviet citizens. Later in the period Stalin focusses on establishing Russia as a world power through strengthening Russia’s military power. In order to achieve this, Stalin believed in collectivisation and industrialization. By collectivizing and industrializing the agriculture and industries.
The government, just like the wealthy and rich, was so power hungry that they disregarded the people’s kind acts and defaced them as if they were animals. The people come first in society. Unlike back then, today is a whole different story. The president of the United States would not try to rip off the American people or disregard them in any way because of the fact that it was completely unconstitutional. The Obama Administration tried its best to benefit the people and help them in ways that were never thought possible.
