The Glistening City There are so many beautiful places I would love to visit. In 2005 I was fortunate enough to travel to the Glistening City. When I saw the brochure I knew my pastor and wife picked the right place. Cancun Mexico is a place where amazing beaches, wild life, leisure activities, and resorts they have to offer are adventures and beaches with crystal clear water. A great vacation spot! The main things I enjoyed the most about my trip was the snorkeling, jet skiing, and swimming in my resort pool. The resort I stayed in is called the Mayan Palace. When I walked into the resort for the first time I noticed the size and how detail it was. I told my family I can’t wait to see the room if the lobby looks this way. The ceiling looked as if it was hand painted and the floors were made out of gray stone wash marble. As we checked in and walked down the hallway and located our room when I opened the door the hot tub on the patio caught my eye. The couches let out to beds; they had white cozy fluffy robes laid out for us with chocolate kisses on top. The glass shower with four different water levels, I was in heaven. The resort was full of many different things to do. I could just walk right outside my room around the corner and down the sidewalk and there was the pool and golf course. The pool was the size of Reliant Stadium. It had a bar with seats that’s I could just swim up to and the bartenders making drinks with fresh juicy fruit. The lawn chairs were like beds with fresh crispy white sheets with pillows. My favorite part about the pool was laying out enjoying the sun and the waiter bringing me ice cold drinks and fresh fruit randomly. One of the days that my family and I was in Cancun we spent a whole day jet skiing. I was so excited as I was putting my life jacket on and walking towards the deck.
