The Evolution of Crime and Criminal Laws in the face of Terrorism Almost on a daily basis we are exposed on TV, newspaper radio and word of mouth about Crimes committed, Criminal Laws Broken and Terrorism threats across our nation, some of the crimes we see and talk about can be fiction. TV shows like Criminal Intent, 24, Law and Order are some of the most watched and some of the best TV dramas about Crime, Criminal Laws and Terrorism. While we are fascinated about Crime, Criminal Laws and Terrorism we don’t often think about those subjects in the same details or regard as say medicine or a sickness yet in actuality the subject of Crime, Criminal Laws and Terrorism can be described in the same manner. This paper will attempt to shed some light on the issue of Crime, Criminal Laws and Terrorism. I will elaborate on how the threat of terrorism impacted Crime and Criminal Laws. Crime is defined as “A Wrong against society or the public interest”. While it is undocumented it is supposed that since the beginning of human society and human interaction there as always been Crime. It is not difficult to reason and imagine a caveman stealing another caveman’s food or water in an effort to survive. So while we defined the term crime how do we identify if an event or action is a Crime. In order for a event to be considered a crime we must first consider a concept called corpus delicti which means “Literally the body of the crime:” the fact that a crime has been committed” The concept as two part first “one a result or harm” second “the harm or result must result from someone’s criminal act”. The follow is case of Rachel Kozlusky is an example of this concept. Rachel Kozlusky who was dressed in underwear and sweater was found dead by investigators on the floor of a building.
