With advancements in technology, some students have chosen to complete their schoolwork through the Internet, rather than in traditional classrooms. Those who support a traditional classroom approach to learning argue that it provides more of an opportunity for students to interact with the teacher and other students. Those who feel that learning over the Internet is better argue that it allows students to learn anytime and anywhere they choose. Do you feel education is better provided in traditional classrooms or when offered over the Internet? The facilitators use slides for a more visual description of the topics that we are discussing. We have training onsite and online. We use simulation type of test for evaluation. It is easier to learn using new technologies because the facts and figures are very easy to acquire. Internet plays a very significant role in getting all the data that you need.
Students taking online classes are free to express their opinion on message thread which allows other students to comment also and keep conversation going. Through distance learning students who are shy and not open to conversation can easily express and help them become more comfortable. “Generally speaking face to face communication with an instructor is minimized or eliminated altogether” (Barszcz 151). Distance learning can go both ways, if a student prefers to attend campus and have face to face contact it’s totally up to them, but for those students who are independent and are working full-time distance learning is the only option for them to advance in their career. For students who are living on their own with expense such as rent and bills, distance learning make their lives easy and can be managed with full-time job.
The same accredited degree is offered online just like it would be available for traditional classrooms. The only difference is either online or in person. I know time is short when one has a stuffed schedule. Online courses allow them to work on their own time. This gives students the chance to receive higher education while taking care of their responsibilities in everyday life.
Surfing on internet give students freedoms to study in different ways. In addition, learning from friends is one of the quickest and easiest way to study. Friends are people you feel comfortable and relaxed around; therefore, you are not afraid to ask questions and share your thoughts. You can learn many new and interesting things during a conversation with them. For example, you can debate with each other about USA`s economic and what are some things the society can do to fix it.
A diverse campus adds to the college experience, prepares us for life after college, and makes us more sociable people. The way a college’s diverse campus adds to the college experience is simple, diversity on a campus allows us to get out of our comfort zone and affiliate with new people. Diversity also adds to the college experience in the ways it permits us to see and more fully understand other people’s hobbies, backgrounds, and religions we may have never encountered before. Therefore a diverse college campus lets us as students have the full college experience. An equally as essential benefit of a diverse campus is that it prepares us for our life outside of college after we graduate.

The internet can also give teachers a chance to post websites that will give students their grades, homework, study guides, and necessary information for the particular class. Smart boards are also very useful tools which give the teacher multiple ways to share their information. They are great for demonstrations, can accommodate different learning styles, and gives internet uses if computers are limited. Although the expand of technology in the past couple years is very beneficial and time saving, there are also some concerns I have about the growth.
