The benefits of living a healthy lifestyle Over 20% of the world’s people are obese and I think that people need to make a change. Living a healthy lifestyle is one of the pre-eminent things that we can do for our body. Being healthy and living healthy will decrease your chance of illness, it makes you feel better about yourself and the best thing about being healthy and living healthy is, anybody can do it. Exercising frequently and eating well is one of the best ways to keep the human body healthy. By exercising regularly the body becomes more efficient in delivering oxygen to the heart and around the body. This will decrease a person’s risk of developing certain diseases. Such as type two diabetes and a high blood pressure. Phytochemicals, a natural plant substance, which are found in minerals, vitamins and fibres assist in reducing the risk of chronic diseases, such as arthritis, cardiovascular disease and cancer. By eating more plant foods in your diet, you increase your consumption of phytochemicals. The medical community recognizes that regular exercise, along with a proper diet, are the most important factors in maintaining good physical and mental health, and in preventing and managing many diseases.
