Terrorism has occurred throughout the history all the time. Today in the twenty first century we are getting to see what terrorism has really done to effect the world we live in. Not only the third world countries who have to deal with regular terrorist activities but us as a globe are witnessing an incredible increase in terrorism. Terrorists not only try to create panic but also try to weaken government confidence and they target the leadership of the country.                                           Terrorism can be defined as “ the use of violence and threats to intimidate or coerce,especially for political purposes”( dictionary.com). All terrorist activities involve violence or threats of violence. Terrorism is a major problem that’s occurring all across the globe in different forms. The U.S alone spends 5 million dollars annually combating terrorists activities. Just think of how much impact that much money can make if spent somewhere else to make the country a better place. Just one terrorist attack impacted the US economy hugely. And is remembered every time when terrorism is brought up, it is 9/11. Things such as property damage and lost production of goods and services, already are more than $100 billion. It definitely   did impact New York itself hugely as it lost some tourist attraction and a incalculable fall of global markets. The biggest impact was on the direct job losses amounted to 83000 with $17 billion in lost wages.
Many countries already have problems such as poverty, pollution, hunger. But terrorism is one of the biggest threats in countries like these. Terrorism will remain in our society as long as there are people who are fanaticism, paranoia and extremism. Terrorism impacts the country and people in several ways. The incidents that occur in the country affect the economy hugely as it sometimes drives forgien investors out. 9/11 hurt america more than people think of.
