Tell the women we’re going The story: ”Tell the women we’re going” tells the story of two boys, and their relationship. In general, it is very common that persons, who become friends at a young age, are very likely to remain friends when they grow up. “Tell the woman we’re going” shows how the friendship between the two main characters evolve, and it shows the secrets that the two men shares. The good and the bad. The main characters. Jerry is Bills best friend. They have been together their entire lives. They shared everything. Cars, jobs, music-interest and girls. So when Jerry decided to drop out of college, he married a girl who had been dating both Bill and Jerry. Because Jerry got married at such a young age, he had children at a young age too. At some point, Bill states that Jerry looks old, but Jerry is only 22. All of these things indicate that Jerry grew up to fast. Jerry’s wife’s name is Carol, and together they had two daughters and another baby in the oven. The live in a nice house, upon a hill, overlooking the Nashes. He works as an assisting manager at Robby’s. Even though Jerry is married, he still acts like a child. “But sometime Carol and Jerry would start making out right with Bill still there.” (page 183, lines 19-20) Bill is Jerry’s best friends. Bill looks up to Jerry, and sees him as an idol. He wants to be like Jerry. Sometime it may seem like he wants Jerry’s permission to do stuff. “Jerry liked Linda too. “She’s great,” Jerry said. (page 182, line 30) A few years after Jerry marries Carol, Bill finish college, and marries a girl named Linda. Together they visit Jerry and Carol a lot. Even before Bill got married, he liked to visit them. It made him feel older that he had married friends. This story is a very realistic story about what people are capable of.
