Evolution of Communication through Technology Presently, there is a vital factor affecting our modern world. This factor, technology, has proven to be evolving rather quickly, and along with this it is also affecting human lives by evolving communication. In simple terms, the definition of communication is the act of transferring information from one place to another. Humans perceive technology as a way of making lives easier by improving the communication process, having more efficient visualizations, and being updated with all types of information. Technology helps the communication process to be more precise and more efficient. Decades ago, the communication process was seen as being very slow and inefficient since information had to be sent days before reaching its destination. For example, a letter sent from one country to another took days, weeks and even months to arrive. After the use of letters, came the telephone usage. With this in mind, humans also thought twice of making a phone call since the rate was too expensive. The use of the telephone was good but nowadays technology has quickly updated, making our communication process even better. Due to technology we now have hi-tech cellular phones, laptops, computers, and tablets just to name a few. There you can see the evolution of technology and communication. With the help of these sophisticated technologies, now humans can send any type of message in seconds, and can virtually have face to face communication. Each person has their preference, and there exist many easy and fast ways to communicate with someone. With the aid of technology, humans can also have more efficient visualizations. Maps, charts, graphs, signs and others would seem as to not fall into the category, but they do, since visualizations have the ability to communicate messages.
