Throughout my Technology in Education course I acquired a vast amount of knowledge relating to the way in which we as human-beings have become so dependent upon computer systems, peripherals, and software. Technology is not everyone’s forte; however, it is worthwhile to understand it and how it can be applied in a learning environment (Poole, Sky-McIlvain, Evans, & Singer, 2009). Learning something new may seem overwhelming. Nevertheless, with continued exposure and practice the information is easily applied hands-on. With time, the acquired knowledge and skill becomes second-nature to the facilitator. Learning something new is not an easy undertaking; perhaps, this is why change is not easily welcomed? However, change is inevitable and we must be willing to accept and lead the charge to meet its demands through new ideas and innovation.
