Write an essay to be read by a classroom teacher in which you persuade the reader that either traditional classroom education or Internet-based learning is better. With advancements in technology, some students have chosen to complete their schoolwork through the Internet, rather than in traditional classrooms. Those who support a traditional classroom approach to learning argue that it provides more of an opportunity for students to interact with the teacher and other students. Those who feel that learning over the Internet is better argue that it allows students to learn anytime and anywhere they choose. Do you feel
I believe the educational environment is one of the most important places where the computer is placed. Computers have become an integral part of the education as they allow students and teachers access to information; helps in research projects; and prepares teachers for their jobs. Computer technology has given me the dream of distance learning a reality. I no longer have to limit myself to the classroom. I am able to learn from the comfort of my home and on my schedule.
Individual students will be using their iPads consistently throughout the day. They will be used across the curriculum with students blogging, interacting on our class wiki, and creating multimedia projects. In small group instruction, specifically Tier 2 instruction, the iPads will be used to differentiate instruction. During small group instruction I will using Apps that compliment our units of study. Some students made need help with basic math facts while other students are ready to do some enrichment problem solving with their mathematics.
(Bitter and Pierson 2005 cited in Jack, Howard., Jr, Boeckmann, & Blum, 2010). So it can be conclude that if young student can use computer literacy properly, they can review and understand the teaching content. For example, The PowerPoint in Microsoft Office 2007 with picture and a sentence or short paragraph on a topic related to classroom activities. This can be shown in the form of an electronic slide show. Each student identifies a word associated with his/her assigned letter, writes a sentence for it, and takes a digital picture of that object.
The use of technology is affecting students especially in high school and college. According to Turkle, today’s college students have little experience with the right to privacy as they leave trails of everything they have done online, unlike previous generations who have worked hard to protect their privacy. In her article, Turkle also describes the use of online avatars as both a positive and negative image in children’s lives. Some children invest far too much time developing their online personality while role-playing offers a safe place in a world full of crime, terrorism, and drugs. As a consequence this retards their social growth
You have a visual/graphic learning style. Recalling pictures, diagrams, or slideshows while taking a test means you visually learned the material. Learning by sight is probably one of the most common learning styles. Educators often use visual aids to teach, because students often understand the material better. Being able to see what has been being talked about in the class all week, makes learning easier for a visual learner.

Emerging and Existing Technologies and Children and Young people’s learning. 1 Introduction This report will explore the various methods in which emerging and existing forms of communication through ICT can be used to enhance learning across the curriculum. For this assignment I am going to evaluate the outcomes for using computers and interactive whiteboards in Primary schools. I currently work with children aged five and six that are using both these technologies as part of their everyday learning. So from using different resources and information I am hoping to find out ways in which they assist and encourage children to use different learning methods to foster an enjoyment of learning.
Internet helped William to enjoy studying and to focus. The program Quizlet stimulated all four objectives in learning language writing, reading, speaking and listening, which helped him transfer the material from his short term memory to his long term memory faster. As the data shows, his grades have improved. I also see the possibility of using assistive technology with students who don’t have disabilities to improve their performance. If I can gather more data and experiences, I can present results to the school that can impact school improvement, faculty development and student learning.
This is fun for the students to do, and they can post short stories, poems, class homework, and many personally created activities. The internet can also give teachers a chance to post websites that will give students their grades, homework, study guides, and necessary information for the particular class. Smart boards are also very useful tools which give the teacher multiple ways to share their information. They are great for demonstrations, can accommodate different learning styles, and gives internet uses if computers are limited. Although the expand of technology in the past couple years is very beneficial and time saving, there are also some concerns I have about the growth.
