When students are doing their home works, instead of going to the library and spending a little more time, they just need to go in front of the computer and search for the topic that they are researching on. Using the internet as a learning resource is somehow more efficient than books when it comes to time. But when it comes to reliability, books are still the best options for us to research since anybody can write, edit, and publish an article on the Web. Throughout my day for almost everyday, I am constantly on my cell phone when I am able to go on it. The reason for this is so I can check my emails whenever and wherever I am when I am not home. It is convenient to have a cell phone in handy when away from home, because it makes it easier to contact someone. Almost everyone has a cell phone, and almost everyone use it to socialize with friends and family. Also, I logged on the computer on Thursday 5:15 PM to work on my educational planning assignments as I needed to navigate the Bakersfield College website.
In addition, I can even share my note with my friends who are taking classes that I already took. Second, networking on laptop provides student with an opportunity to search more information on any class material within and outside of a class. For instance, in my plant biology class of this semester, when professor talked about “Kranz Anatomy”, which was a new concept to me so I didn’t understand most of it ; however I was able to go online on my laptop while I was in class, and was able to learn more clearly about Kranz Anatomy. Third, with laptop students are able to retrieve their saved work easily. For example, in my chemistry class of last fall, I forgot to bring my lab report that needed to be turned in, but luckily I had it on my laptop so I was able to plug in my laptop to one of the printer on campus and print my lab report.
This is fun for the students to do, and they can post short stories, poems, class homework, and many personally created activities. The internet can also give teachers a chance to post websites that will give students their grades, homework, study guides, and necessary information for the particular class. Smart boards are also very useful tools which give the teacher multiple ways to share their information. They are great for demonstrations, can accommodate different learning styles, and gives internet uses if computers are limited. Although the expand of technology in the past couple years is very beneficial and time saving, there are also some concerns I have about the growth.
They are also fun and a good way to waste time. I would say 95% of the time I visit the social networking sites on my phone instead of the computer. I use facebook to talk with people and share media such as videos and pictures with them and so other people can do the same with me. Usually most of the people I become friends with are people I meet at school or on sports
The Internet is very useful. It has many different ways of helping people such as with there homework, with search engines like goggle, or entertainment websites like Youtube, email websites, such as Hotmail, shopping, online shopping site like Amazon. I think the internet is important is because you can use it while being at home and there’s no reason to go out and buy things. The internet makes things more easier and faster for everyone. Instead of using a dictionary to define a word you can easily go to Google and type in the word and it will give you the definition.

When we share an interesting link of a specific website with our family and friends, we are, in fact, participating in social bookmarking. Social bookmarking is the action of tagging/bookmarking a website and saving it for later. What is unique about social bookmarking websites such as Reddit, Digg, StumpleUpon and Delicious is that instead of saving the pages to your web browser, you are actually saving them to the web so you can access any time at any place, which also makes it easier to share them with your friends. The core purpose of social bookmarking is clear: to be able to share, and bookmark content with others as well as share useful information without having to save it to a website, thus, having it readily available at any time and any place.
