The next step in the process for the new employee’s is to become acclimated with the organization. To help the employees to settle in to the new environment and be successful; they will need to be brought up to speed on doing procedures the InterClean way. The preparation will include an orientation, then a training program, followed by pairing up with a mentor from within the sales department. The orientation, training, and mentorship program will allow the new InterClean employee’s to be successful by empowering them to establish a solid footing in the sales department.
My Boss, L.J. Watkins, wants to cut cost because of increased competition from another firm and some changes have already been made. Before these change Watkins Co. had a relatively laid back atmosphere in which supervisors did not frequently push or confront employees that often. Wages were considered low for the area and as a result workers would work overtime to make up for their low pay. They were unsupervised during these overtime hours and reportedly were very productive.
HR will select individuals based on there experience, performance appraisal and a pre-screening interview. If applicants pass the pre-screening by HR the Vice President will interview the candidates. Part 1 When trying to convince the business committee to accept my proposal for new services I do not want them to quickly dismiss my idea. I want to make all of the committee happy so I have to do extensive research and make sure my plan is well thought out. The main issues are going to be money and renovations. When making the proposal I will make sure to answer all questions that the committee may have even before they tell me what their issues are. I will make sure that they are aware that a lot of time and thought went into the proposal and that I know what I am talking about.
This strikes me as a fear of change. He feels he is viewed as an estate agent, and although he has aspirations of a managerial position, he believes that others may not feel the same. He knows he is more than capable of doing the job as he has stood in for the current manager when he has been on leave. I think he feels that he coped then because he always knew the current manager would be returning to correct any potential mistakes? I also think he believes that the other office staff were happy for him to cover, purely because it was a short term thing, and potentially they couldn’t be bothered with the additional workload.
