successful aging strategies Aging strategies are great for people that are 50 years or older. The most I’ve seen older people to live is 108 years old. These are some of the strategies that are successful with aging. Aging is positive for worth, control, and coping but not quality of life. Work When you are still working or volunteering pass your retirement age, it will have positive benefits from every angle. Older people have more loyalty, better motivation, and strong work ethics. They have that most upright attitude to be a mentor. The employers are happy to because they have benefits extended to them too. When older people work/volunteer, they get exercise, promote mental health, great thinking skills and enjoy skilled developments. Social Social participation is a big part. Older people who doesn’t have anything to do throughout the day can participate in community group activities such as sewing, bingo, crocheting and different creative items. They have different transportation services available for the elderly who chooses not to drive, such as Logisticare. They have home health agencies to help assist with light housekeeping, laundry, doctors appointment, range of motion and meals. Retirement You start off as a young adult preparing for retirement with different retirement planning strategies and programs. When you approach that retirement age you want have fear, because you have took the necessary steps before hand. Once you reach that age and retire, you must volunteer, work part-time, participate in activities or do community work to keep you going in life so you won’t get depress or lose interest in socialization skills. Income Income Support for the older people have so many communities that support this. Medicare, Part-time employment or Social Security is financial assistant.
