Leadership is such an ongoing and ever changing topic that it is very important to study and take in as much knowledge as you can from courses or other tools such as books. I feel this book was a wonderful tool to accompany leadership courses. I will keep much of the knowledge with me and will be able to apply its tools and ideas to much of my life after college. It might sound cliché for a book report, but I would recommend this book to everyone who seeks the tools and ideas of one of the greatest leaders of our time. Even to those who may never be a leader, the concepts in this book, I find apply to everyday life and how you deal with people and everyday
One of the biggest and most obvious goals I have set would be graduating high school. This should be a pretty easy goal to accomplish but I do need to watch myself in some of my classes. Some of the big things I need to do to meet this goal are improving my neatness, not being lazy and actually turning assignments, and trying to study as much as I can. The hardest of these will unquestionably be turning in my homework. I’ve always had a hard time turning in any homework and this is the year I need to start doing it.
The information will help me get through my school and finish assignments on time. Also it will help me manage my time and stay on top of all of my classes. Getting through my first year at college will be hard but if I stay organized and focused I will reach my goals and succeed. To be a better student I need to seek extra help and use the resources on campus more often. I need to set goals in each one of my classes and stay focused and put my school work first.
Professors are also highly focused on effective classroom presentation. Students also play an integral role in maintaining high teaching standards by regularly providing feedback on faculty effectiveness. These schools are both good academic schools and they are known throughout the country. I will focus on my studies more than anything with just one goal in my mind. The main goal will be graduation. We are human and I know there will be many obstacles and there will be times where I may want to give up. But you have to be mentally strong to achieve your goals in this life.
Taking part in these also improved my time management skills as all meetings had to be attended on time and I also had to work to deadlines. I have a part time job in a shop, New Look, in which I have to deal with members of the public on a daily basis. This has improved my confidence greatly. I also have to work as part of a team in New Look, showing that I am a good listener and co-operative – which would be key in doing well in university. I would employ all these skills throughout university life in order to help me succeed and do well.
