Even though he has a full load of classes not having turn any work would allow him to relax, because he would focusing on current and not any extra work. In some instances I could see if a family member, or student for that matter, would feel resentment for that individual bettering themselves. This is not the case at all with my family. Everyone wants to see me better myself and become successful in my chosen field. As my education continues, I feel no sense of, or need for, separation from family and friends. I still talk about the usual things with the same set of friends I have had since high school.
Another reason why I want to be in Avid is because you get to go on trips that are beneficial to life and future endevors. Avid can help you with organization which I struggle with in your classes as well as home. The skills Avid teaches and the broad spectrum of resourceful information given could help me find things when I need them. I feel Avid can help me do better in my classes by using the skills taught such study habits. Avid can help you with projects from other classes and projects in avid.
This will be hard for me because I am the type of person that likes staying with what I know and staying within my comfort zone. I don’t particularly like challenging myself with “hard” courses I like taking classes that I know I can handle and won’t take too much stress and hard work to complete others see this as taking the easy way out I see it as staying within my comfort zone. But after reading this article I now realize that different courses I take make me stand out as an employee makes me look determined compared to a student who took entry level courses their whole college career. 3.) I believe college will change my interactions with my parents and professors because college will open new doors for me and make me look at topics differently college will make me a better critical thinker and prepare me for the “real world” in many different ways college experience will broaden my outlook and knowledge on culture, politics, religion, and language.
Learning Against Grades In this society, students are encouraged to pursue a higher education after graduating from high school. Yet, each individual has a different reason for desiring to move on to college. Students attend college either because they want to increase their knowledge, get a decent paying job after college, or they just want to get the “college” experience instead of going on to the working force after high school. As a first-year college student, I pictured college to be a “… place for learning and growth…” (Jerry Faber, 387), but I was slightly wrong. Everyday I stress over earning a good grade in my classes, instead of being driven to learn the material of the course.
Education is a very important resource to anyone who wants to succeed in life. Unfortunately, there are some students who do not take education seriously. They go to the school just to make friends, to not be at home to help with the chores or just because their parents are obligating them to complete this phase of their life otherwise, they rather to be doing something else. But, they don’t see that with an education their life can change for the better. However, as there are such students, there are also those students who want to overcome and be someone important, especially if they are in a foreign country.
Wente says that students didn’t get this way themselves that it comes from parents who never let their children fail or taught them that hard work pays off instead of cutting corners. My family, classmates and friend who never get tired of me when it comes to my naughtiness. I am also lucky to be a student of Saint Bridgette Colleges because they taught us to express feelings and knowledge through this. But sometimes others misunderstood my personality but it is fine with me as long as I don’t hurt other feelings. Maybe it was frustrating sometimes but I have to deal with it. I assure to myself that it will not affect me because sometimes their just having their own problems in life.
