Then Taiichi Ohno of Toyota invented a system which can improve the quality and minimise the cost. This new system is known as Just In Time. It’s a very simple system which aims to cut or reduce the cost by minimising the amount of commodities and materials in the stock area. (Tutor2u, 2013) Just in Time entails- * Making the goods and delivering them ‘just in time’. * Partially finishing the goods ‘just in time’ to be put together into the final part. * Materials are called ‘just in time’ for the final parts. * Overall, just in time is a cost effective system. (Mindtools, 2013) This means as soon as the customer puts the order, the production should start by arranging the materials and necessary items for the goods which can be accomplished by proper planning and experience in the field.
