Encouraging and establishing student self-control through a process of promoting positive student achievement and behavior is what every classroom needs. Classroom rules and procedures should be established with students the first week of school. Each student should have full understanding and be aware of what is expected of him/her. Providing a safe learning environment where students can participant is a key factor in classroom management. A student needs to feel comfortable with themselves, others, and the teacher, so there can be meaningful discussion and interactions.
Describe own role and responsibilities and those of others in the team My role of a Teaching Assistant is extremely important in the class room. I am there to support the pupils and the teacher in charge as well as other staff working in the school. A teaching assistant is responsible for preparing the class room ready for the day ahead as well as clearing the classroom after the school day. The Teaching assistant is required to float between pupils helping them to confidently complete their work and tasks set. We are also required to sometimes work with individual groups of pupils on set tasks or individually with pupils who need one to one support.

There still continues to be some students who are constantly being suspended for different reasons at the school. I would try to devise an incentive program that would help with motivating students to want to stay in class and learn. There is currently a positive behavior intervention (PBIS) system in place but there needs to be things added to make it more effective. There are currently grade level PLC teams at the school but I would try to find a way where there could be another PLC team where the teachers in specific subject areas can get together and meet (i.e. all math teacher, science teacher, etc).

Teachers have several responsibilities as a teacher to the students. Some responsibilities of each teacher are teaching the student, grading papers, make sure that the student understands what is being taught, making sure that the students have grades in the grade book. Each teacher is responsible for each student while at school or a school function, the teacher also has to get the student to understand that if needed the student can talk to them with confidence that they will not be telling anyone. Teachers are not teachers for the pay, most are teachers because they enjoy teaching children or they just love being around children. The pay is set on a set salary and paid once a month, some even get paid for the months they are not working.
Teachers are coming out of their classrooms and meeting with other teachers and sharing strategies, and asking questions that have other teachers thinking about how to have more successful classroom experiences. The final implication I think that it is having globally is that through coaching we will have retention of quality teachers. By doing this you can see how well a person performs in action. While observing the teacher in the classroom setting you can tell how that individual interacts with the different types of students. You can also see if that individual is prepared to teach the subject that is needed. By observing them in the classroom setting you can see how well they teach the students and how they react to it on the job, off the cuff interaction. When I was in high school I experienced a bad teacher in English, then that following year I had an excellent English teacher.
