No of words: 2.080 Indisputably, neurotic conditions such as stress, anxiety, habits and phobias, can affect a person’s life in many different ways. How each person is affected by these issues can vary depending first of all not only on how severely he is affected but also on how well he can cope with them. However, stress, anxiety, habits and phobias, can all be related in some form or another, since in a way, one causes the other and conversely. For instance, stress can cause anxiety and anxiety can cause stress. It is like a cyclical process whereby the more stressed somebody feels the more anxious he tends to be; and conversely, if somebody suffers from anxiety related disorders, then that could make him more prone to stress. Therefore, it is obvious that stress and anxiety are directly linked. In addition, both can be caused by phobia, when for example, someone has a phobia concerning spiders, he becomes stressed and anxious until somebody disposes of the spider. In addition, stress can be caused by a habit, when for example, someone tries to stop the habit of nail biting, he will then become stressed that he cannot. Fortunately, hypnotherapy, as an ideal tool, can assist effectively many people to overcome these conditions, by helping them identify the cause of the problem, the reasons why they have difficulty in dealing positively with it and by providing them with relaxation techniques in order to control the negative impacts that stress, anxiety, habits and phobias have on their everyday lives. However, there is a plethora of situations people are facing every day, which can lead them to a confrontation with those neurotic conditions.
