Normally during the last few days of school, kids put aside their work because they are excited for school to be done with. When they do that, they start getting low grades. Kids usually don't listen at this time of year. Without kids building up with excitement, they would been good leaders through the years. If kids have year-round school, they probably would keep their grades.
You can be honest without telling people exactly what you are thinking, because some things are better left unsaid. Trust / Reliability Trust is something I truly value in one´s character. I learned it the hard way that not everyone can be trusted and trust needs to be earned. Reliability is under the same category. In decision making one needs to have earned trust so the decision itself can be relied on.
However, where there is strength, there is also weakness. Although I hold compassion close to me and I use my emotional side to the fullest, it has a tendency to make me too hard-hearted. Whatever I believe in my heart to be the right thing, is usually what I will go after, without constraint. This means I could pass up a better opportunity because I’m too set in my way, mentally and emotionally. There are also some blind spots that I need to watch out for.
I do not have any misconceptions about writing I'm just very out of practice and I'm sure with time it will become a lot easier and feel more natural. I need to focus on staying on topic, grammar and punctuation. I tend to go off topic once I get another idea something similar but not part of the idea I was going for in my paper. In order to improve this weakness is by keeping my ideas organize will help me stay on topic After reading chapter one it gave me a new motivation to learn about writing. I have always just gave myself the excuse that I am not a good writer and that’s how I am going to live.
In order to be personally responsible people need to learn to choose the hard right over the easy wrong. They need to realize that every action has an equal if not greater reaction. For example, if I was to procrastinate on the completion of this assignment the
Exercise 1.1 Specific ways I need to change to be a more helpful person is to always look for the other person first and not just for myself. I have a tendency to put myself first instead of others and I really need to work on this quality. I have great listening skills and make eye contact but I don’t move around when I talk so I feel that would make me a more helpful person also because they would not be bored. Exercise 1.2 If I saw a professional with these labels I would think great they were except for the shrink because might make you think down on yourself instead of there to help you with your problems. These people are all very special and help to provide help in so many ways to help to get a job, a home, medical assistance, to just help with everyday living.
Students can experience a more beneficial learning environment by having a longer school day. High schoolers in particular should always be learning and wanting to approach more opportunities. Also, having a better learning experience means having no stress from being really tired. When you are stressed, it can make you distracted and unfocused on your studies. If kids miss a day it will result in missing out on learning new things and they would need to make work up.
Reflection Paper Kyle Patterson Mrs. Eastman EDUC 111 Reflection Paper Before I registered for Introduction to Teaching, I had a misconception of teaching. I just thought that teaching was going to be an easy and fun occupation, but at the same time very rewarding. I also thought that I was completely ready to enter the field. This conception wasn’t completely wrong, but I now know I will have to add in some missing parts. Teaching is fun, but at the same time it is very stressful.
Pupil respond to set goals and expectations better if they have been set out and explained to them clearly. A teaching assistant should always be consistent about the strategies they want to employ to promote good behaviour. Shifting to one rule to another would confuse the students and may show your lack of decisiveness and would have and opposite effect on students. I would keep the rules simple and to minimum, as too many rules and complexity make it difficult for children to remember and follow them. Once rules have been set, I would be consistent to lead the effectively.
Many young people see going to school as a chore and only go because they absolutely have to, while some will even skip school because they see it as boring and unnecessary. However, going to school is incredibly important for your career, future education you may wish to pursue, and social and communication skills. Teenagers are forever being told that they need a good education so that their can have the career they want, but many do not listen. However, it is important to remember that your schooling, no matter how long it may feel, lasts for a just a few short years compared to the rest of your life ahead of you. Therefore, it is better to sacrifice a little bit of fun now so that you can find happiness in later life, as you will be happier if you can do a job that you enjoy and afford to do the things you want.
