An Essay on Strategic Development Process in RACC | | | | | | | | Name: Instructor’s Name: Class: Date: The RACC Automóvil Club is one of the top motoring organisations in Spain, providing services to more than 1,000,000 members in whole of the country, with an annual turnover of 450 Million Euros. RACC believes in establishing of a strategic planning group which is known as strategic development unit and is responsible for planning short term and long term strategies of the business and also measure achievement of the targets by the firm. It also with time monitors the strategies which need to be changed or revised as per the changes in market or business environment (Drucker, 1980). The aim for the strategic planning for future has been to achieve goals already established in the previous and current strategic plans along with the compatibility with the revised strategies in between. The new strategies will be purely customer-centric and key priority will be increasing cross selling opportunities, sales revenues and market share (Jausch and Bleuck, 1988). The objectives are set by top management (TM) and they interact with middle managers (MM) for taking initiatives. The firm insists of using approaches which are participatory in nature when developing strategies for any business, replacing top down with more whole system invitation to the board room. This enables getting the implementers to the starting or commencement of the planning processes rather than only at the end, this will certainly expand its horizon if they gather inputs from consumers, partners of the organizations, other policy makers and all stakeholders if possible. Participation leads the employees to believe in their strong points than to focus on weaknesses and threats. This will result in generation of a strategy that is highly engaging that will notably elevate
