Stop Waisting Time

Sometimes while we study we tend to get sidetracked. We get distracted by the simplest as well as the most common activities we do on a daily basis. As the person studying we need to devise a studying plan that will help us get the most out of our studying session. We need to stop wasting precious time on other things. That can be used on studying. I use three actions that will maximize the studying session. They are first blocking any communications, next by focusing and thinking, and lastly by taking a small break. The first step is to block anything that will distract you during the duration of the studying session. You should exclude yourself from people around you. There should be a designated are where you can study without interruption from other people, such as your room with a locked door. Or even in the garage. I personally choose to study in the garage. I found that the garage is that one place that people don’t often go in. The next thing that should be done is to turn off any device(s) that will be a distraction. The cell phone, the laptop, and any other handheld games. All of these contribute as distractions, because by them being there you are more tempted to use them. The next step is to stay focused as well as actively thinking. Focus requires a lot of mind control. If I feel myself dosing off, then I think to myself and imagine that I do well on whatever it is I am studying for. That way there is something positive to look forward to. Active thinking is a big plus and a huge positive. When I was younger I distinctively remember working on a World History study guide for a test the next day. I wasn’t actively thinking. I would skim the book and find an answer, not caring if it was right. The answer would not respond to the question(s) to the full extent. When I got my test results back, the score reflected the non-active thinking I put in the
