In 1735, Handel m, formed over 14 concerts made up primarily of oratorios. In London, Handel organized a contribution season consisted entirely of oratorios. The sequences opened with Handel’s composition Samson, to spectators applause all of his success. Samson was eventually followed by a run of Handel’s beloved Messiah. Over the journey of his musical career, Handel was exhausted by stress, and suffered a number of hypothetically debilitating problems with his bodily health.
Oral Presentation Lou Harrison was one of the great composers of the twentieth century--a pioneer in the use of alternate tunings, world music influences, and new instruments. Born in 1917 in Portland Oregon, he spent much of his youth moving around Northern California before settling in San Francisco. There he studied with the modernist pioneer of American Music, Henry Cowell, and, while still in his twenties, composed extensively for dance and percussion. He befriended another of Cowell's students, John Cage, and the two of them established the first concert series devoted to new music for percussion. They composed extensively for these concerts, including their still popular collaboration Double Music.

Beethoven was born in Bonn, Germany, in 1770 to Johann van Beethoven and Magdalena Keverich van Beethoven. He was baptized on December 17, 1770. A few composers who made music today possible by struggling through the aftermath of the Black Death epidemic would be; Jasquin Des Prez, (who was a big name at the time,) Pierre De La Rue, a very well proclaimed vocalist (The New York Time Company 2012, March 23. Top 8 Renaissance Composers Retrieved from http://classicalmusic.about.com.) One such composer whose name is still heard pretty often would be Johann Sebastian Bach; he is considered as one of the faces of classical music. Like all of us, he started out with baby steps, slowly learning the ways of music. Bach came from a family of musicians who brought him into the whole scene; his father was a director and had several uncles who were musicians (Christoph Wolff, Johann Sebastian Bach: The Learned Musician (New York: W.W. Norton and Company, Inc., 2000.)
Music Appreciation Music 10 Dates: Nov. 04, 2012 Mission College Symphony: Winter Journey The first concert that I attended was when I was in high school, but I was part in it. I was actually one of the choirs performing and so this is basically the first concert that I’ve watched and listen to as an audience. The first music piece started with slow melodic sounds and became a little faster then started and ends in slow. The second piece had a pattern and had a catchy sound to it. The tenor sings with low to high to a very loud dynamic then low again like a wave.
Championships have been held at many different locations, particularly college and NFL stadiums, but DCI currently has a 10 year contract with Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, IN. The Vanguard is well-known for being an innovative leader in the activity. They were the first to use asymmetrical show designs and challenging orchestral pieces from famous composers such as: Bartok, Holst, Rimsky-Korsakov, Copland and Bernstein. John Philip Sousa, The March King, and More William Blake Martin LDRS 2300 – Innovators in the Humanities Cynthia Martin William Penn University – College for Working Adults February 25, 2014 John Philip Sousa Probably one of the most prolific composers of the 19th and 20th centuries was also one of the most influential upon our nation’s patriotism as well. Before you even see the marching band on the Fourth of July, it’s almost a sure thing that you will hear one of Sousa’s compositions. While John Philip Sousa, often referred to as “The March King”, wrote many marches, he wrote several operettas and novels too. Not only was Sousa an accomplished composer and author, he also was the band leader of The Marine Corps Band, often
Second Essay I went to the concert players name is “Palisades virtuosi”. The concert title name is “Music Born of Adversity.” There are three players. “The Commissioners” by Chamber Music America magazine, Palisades Virtuosi has established an enviable presence in the chamber music world since its inception eleven years ago. The concert was newest and interesting for me because trio is not normal group. I saw lots of piano with strings instruments such as violin, viola and cello.
