Outback Steakhouse is a restaurant that has always aimed to make dining a delightful experience for its customers. Outback Steakhouse opened its first restaurant in 1988 in Florida focusing on offering customers generous portions of high-standard food in a welcoming atmosphere. And after great success the founders decided open more restaurants. Outback began to expand nationally and become very well known internationally to reach more than 800 restaurants in 23 countries. Outback targeted people between the ages of 35 and 54 with annual incomes exceeding $50,000. To distinguish its restaurants, Outback developed a huge red neon sign that fronted its buildings. Direction The Company's strategy direction is to distinguish its restaurants by emphasizing consistently high-quality food and service, generous portions at valuable prices and a relaxed atmosphere.
