It may be a cliché, but soccer was my life growing up! In Bob Greene’s essay “Cut”, he explains how being cut from a basketball team in 7th grade made him feel, and how it shaped him into the person he is today. He describes the feeling of inadequacy by not being good enough. Bob Greene portrays how that event made him stronger, “never to allow someone to tell me that I’m not good enough again” (Miller, “Cut” 86). As a young child, I lived my life to play soccer.

After about a year, Kanan is back and playing on the Varsity Soccer Team. Not only is he working hard every practice and every game, but he now realizes how lucky he is to have the ability to play once again. “I see john working as hard as he can on the field but I also notice that while he is giving everything he has, he is in a lot of pain,” said Andrew Cornwall ’14. Even Today Kanan is having minor difficulties with his knee, but luckily he was gifted with a successful recovery. “I never realized how fortunate I was to be able to play soccer without having a constant pain in my knee,” said Kanan.
It's true, I sometimes wonder how my life would be if I'd never fallen so deep for "the beautiful game." Most likely, I'd be Dead somewhere and I'm not hyperbolizing when I say so either. I'm to the point where even if it didn't, I'd still want soccer to be a part of my life in general but having accomplished this much in such few years Is something I'll cherish. From scoring so many goals In my home township league to top scorer for the 5th best travel team in the state of New Jersey; it can, what to me, be considered the ingenuity I've written about before. When you see your craft reward you for the hard work you put in, it can be one of the best feelings in the

I don't even want to walk them. I plan on asking one of the principals if I can just use the elevator to get up and down for now on. Regardless, I think I understand better now. I'm a Soccer Sidekick, and I've been proudly supporting the soccer teams the entire season, but now at every game I think I'll cheer a little bit louder, because they were there to cheer me on when I needed it, and most of all, I can't wait to see those super freaks go to
Cause and Effects I chose to attend Penn State University over the other colleges that I applied to because Penn State is a well known school. Penn State is known for their academics all over the United States and even in other parts of the world. Even when I was telling my friends that live in California that I had been accepted to Penn State they knew exactly what school I was talking about. Penn State also has emotional ties to my family. My grandfather always loved Penn State football, and would always talk about Penn State University to me when I was younger.
Sean Carney Kean University was my top interest because it had many majors that I looked to pursue in as I furthered my education. The two majors that I would enjoy to pursue in at your school would be something in the Visual Arts or Athletic Training. Also, your University also offers football, the sport that I have to truly love to play. I’ve been always interested in drawing all my life because I have been most comfortable expressing my feeling through that. I also took drawing my sophomore year and I got straight A’s in the class.
