However, some people when they come across ideas that they do not agree with try to fight for their rights and let their voices to be heard. Some people challenge societies’ beliefs but those are few.
These side effects may affect one person but not another. This would be hard to study as you can not say it is exactly one thing, and then you would have to look at the extraneous variables which affect each problem. However, this could also be good as it is not really being reductionist in its own approach; it is looking at all the possible individual differences. If choosing a different approach, like cognitive, then it would still be difficult because you do not know what the person is thinking. You would have to rely on the patient giving you the information for it not is socially desirable or have demand characteristics.
What is reason behind it? What we do what we do? What motivates us? Many people would rather not think about this. Some people might not care about true behind everything that we consider as “normal”.
The way you tell someone to do something, may be ok to one person, but it could be offensive, or threatening to another. When you offend that person, it is then when you have to be the bigger person and fix things. If not, the work place will not be very comfortable to work in for the both of you and it could effect the people around you, too. Another example in this area would be how you spend your time. Time management is very important in all aspects of life.

Ethical lenses adopted by individuals tend to influence decision making by affecting how problems and conflicts are approached. Your ethical lens of preference makes you ‘blind’ to the other approaches and makes it difficult to see the benefits of the other lenses and weaknesses of your own lens. This adds tension to groups because what seems like the best solution to a problem to a single team member might be completely inappropriate to another. The team found that these different approaches can create more issues within a team or group if you don’t understand that everyone has their own ‘right approach.’ To a rights and responsibilities lens approaching an issue head on and dealing with the conflict directly might not be fun, but it is necessary in order to move past the problem in the most efficient way possible.
Emerson’s view on consistency is, once again, completely different form the average view from society. He sees consistency as a bad trait and something that everyone should shy away from. I myself believe that Emerson is right in believing consistency isn’t such a great thing. I believe people should be inconsistent and change their mind if they are given a certain amount of proof to change their mind. This is how Emerson sees consistency; he is very much against it and looks down upon those who do not change their minds.
We’ll act how we expect other people to act, and in doing so we aren’t true to ourselves. Low self-esteem can lead to anxiety attacks. In large group settings, we may believe that everyone is focused on ourselves. This makes it impossible to relax and easier to make mistakes. (Perera).
A lot of people do not learn it. Critical thinking is being able to think for yourself and rely on yourself and make responsible decisions that affect your life or others. Critical thinking is like investigating problems, asking questions, posing new answers that will challenge you. Most people are followers of authority: most won’t ask questions, not curious at all, and do not challenge authority figures who claim special knowledge. Critical thinking has many different components.
Why or why not? In my honest opinion prejudice is hard to measure because it cannot accurately be predicted or judge by a test. I feel like prejudice cannot be measured accurately because the test shows the association between different groups. The only thing I can see the implicit association test is measured are the groups that I may belong to or fit in. People cannot show the result of being or prejudice because people are known to select things that they are more familiar with, things that they are more commutable with, and things that they see in their everyday environment.
