Ban Smoking in Bars and Restaurants Banning smoking in bars and restaurants is a hot issue in Indonesia but also in various countries who are discussing them. Smoking cigarettes seem enjoyable, but there are some serious health risks from smoking. Active smokers continue to smoke, even if they know that smoking can kill them but also people around them. It seem hard to understand, but the fact is that cigarettes can be just as addictive as drugs, like heroin and cocaine. We shoud ban smoking cigarettes in bars and restaurants and strongly disagree with people who do not take in consideration how it will affect to other people in their area . One reason we should ban smoking cigarettes in bars and restaurants is to protect the health of the employees. Everybody knows that smoking is not only bad for active smokers but also passive smokers. When the employees inhale cigarettes smoke, they move into their lungs, absorb into their blood and quickly attack part of their body. According to the medical research, passive smokers have more chance to influence lung cancer rather than active smokers. Cigarettes smoke also effect heart disease. Active smokers who do not care about taking risks with their health should have places where they can go for smoking to protect the health of the employees. If the employees inhale cigarettes smoke every day, they become a part of thousand people who go to the hospital to get medical treatment for their dangerous disease. As mentioned above, health concerns become the big problem behind bans, because passive smokers are a potential concern for employees in bars and restaurants. But the most things we should ban smoking in bars and restaurants are encourages active smokers to quit smoking. Addiction to cigarettes is both mental and physical. Cigarette addicts can puff 5-8 cigarettes eveytime that they want and that is active
