ID Outline Introduction Thetis statement: The reduction of class size has positive things such as more attention of the teacher, better academic achievement while at the same time it has problems such as high cost of money. Body Paragraph 1 Topic sentence: Firstly, study showed that low-achieving students which were learning in small-size classes have more effects through kindergarten to third grade. Supporting idea: 1. children are paid more personal attention from teachers 2. receive more help 3. participation in class increases due to the small number of kids. Body Paragraph 2 Topic sentence: Another supporting reason of small classes being more productive is that children who were exposed to smaller class for at least 1 year, have higher grades. Supporting idea: 1. the longer the period of educating in small class, the better results and the longer these results remain active 2. teachers have more time to pay attention to students Body Paragraph 3 Topic sentence: However, class size reduction causes more money to be invested Supporting idea: 1. More money is required. 2. more teachers are required. 3. more classrooms are required. Conclusion The range of class sizes and its influence have been discussed and argued for tens of years. The subject of discussion is whether it has or doesn’t have a beneficial influence if the size of a class is being reduced.
