Jared says, "People around the world who had access to the most productive crops becomes the most productive farmers". As the fertile crescent brought many great crops and animals that spread and Europeans people were able to gain access much earlier then other civilizations. In the first video Jared states
This had a much more positive effect because while the villagers lost land the enclosure resulted in efficient farming that produced more food. Before this happened there were people dying of hunger and very young so thy ay have lost land but gained food and a longer life span for themselves and their children. This agricultural revolution also came to revolutionize how we live and go about our lives. The second aspect of the Industrial Revolution came in the textile industry which was the most important part of this revolution. Cotton became the fabric of choice instead of wool, linen or silk.
Without that help the colonist might have never survived because it was something they were not used to having to do, or even something they really even knew how to do. It was completely different from the way England would give them most of their food and supplies, or simply allow them to but their food. Though through the hard work colonist also could get money from the crops they grew on their farms. They could sell any leftover food
Even when they started working they misbehaved. The government created more jobs for everyone and forced others to work for people who didn’t need it, otherwise they would have been sent to a correction facility. Morgan wanted to show how irresponsible the Jamestown citizens were, and comparing them to England was the best way to do it. In England they worked, they farmed, they planted. Cattle, crops, gardens, and they were able to expand to better areas to farm.
The results showed that the increasing of the density leads to a decrease in the biomass of plants and that the experimental groups are not much different than the control groups. This shows that an environment can work to stabilize itself without human interruptions. Plants can ensure they don’t overpopulate an area by self-thinning and species can survive with predators using the environment they were given. Introduction Competition for resources is seen in all species and environments around the world. Since the Earth’s natural resources are limited, it necessary for species of all kingdoms to fight in order to gain enough nutrients in order to not only live but thrive and go on to produce future generations.
While the Nile River was predictable and easier to deal with, the Tigris and Euphrates Rivers were unpredictable. This meant that the Mesopotamians did not have a constant supply of crops due to the crops that were ruined by the rivers. On the other hand, the Egyptians had no trouble and their agriculture was rich. Therefore, the Mesopotamians were envious of the Egyptians and their environment. Although both civilizations had agriculture, they had different produces.
Although the Incas were more advanced and modern in their ways, the Inca and Aztec Empires were similar in some of the aspects that allowed them to be so successful and powerful. First, both civilizations had intensive agriculture mandated by the state. The crops were then redistributed to all the social classes equally. Both economies depended greatly on agriculture and farming, even producing some of the same crops such as corn and squash. Although agriculture based societies have been around for a long time in history and were pretty much the norm in this time period, their agriculture systems still created a surplus of crops, which allowed for increased populations.
The people present in the region started to transition from their nomadic lifestyles to agricultural lifestyles because of the surety and safety the rivers gave in providing farmable land to produce ample food. As more and more people settled in the region, urbanization and surplus occurred. No longer was the society farming to solely support itself, but it was able to export and interact with surrounding societies. The rivers provided the necessary elements for abundant agricultural growth which in turn allowed for the society to grow beyond focusing on basic needs for survival and develop to create political structure and develop artistically. The nation is fast becoming more industrial and more commercialized. The populists don’t see that the nation is growing in this more industrial way and still cling to the idea of agricultural dominance. These views are pointed back to a time when farming and agriculture was abundant and successful, because farming, then, was the only way to access most resources. Now the nation is slowing becoming more commercialized and there is more ways to receive these things, therefore breaking away from the idea of agricultural control. The more farming and agriculture is abandoned, the more things the populist find in what is being left behind.
Throughout history, the ways of life have gotten easier, due to new technologies that are invented. During the Neolithic Revolution, there was a huge change from hunting and gathering, to farming and herding. This was a major change because now people could settle down and form a community, rather than following the food. Now people could build buildings and create a home for themselves and their families. This process from hunting and gathering to farming and herding changed peoples lives forever.
