Kids who wear uniforms don't have to worry about what people think about their outfit and they can focus more on their studies and schoolwork. Second, mandating uniforms in public schools will save everyone time in the mornings. Mornings are already rough, and having to pick out an outfit and to make sure everything matches, it can get pretty stressful. If everyone is like me, I have tons of clothes, but I can never find anything to wear. When wearing school uniforms, there’s no worry in the morning.
School uniforms can also be a very uncomfortable fashion that students would not take a liking to. They also won’t be the “quick fix” that many people think they are. The first reason uniforms should not be required is that most schools across the country believe uniforms take away from an individual’s identity, so they don't require their students wear them. In today's world a person’s identity and having a good sense of self is important to the diversity that Americans have shown in the past. In schools that require uniforms the student body all look like the same person, very bland and boring people.
Uniforms are expensive, it might not be to wealthy families but it is a lot to families who are less fortunate. You might look at having uniforms is a money saving opportunity but it really isn't. What is your child going to wear outside of school? They obviously can't wear a uniform out of school unless they want to be made fun of. Basically as a parent, you are paying for two sets of uniforms and everyday clothes for students to wear out of school!
MaCoHigh Instructor McCauley ENC 1101 February 27, 2012 Should Uniforms Be Worn In Public Schools? Many parents argue about whether or not uniforms is a good fit for their children to wear to a public school. Uniforms are a good fit for a public school just as we as it is for a private school. If kids were enforced to wear uniforms to school it could solve a lot of issues: Kids won't be picking at other kids because of their clothes, staffs do not have to worry about whether or not the student outfit is inappropriate or not, and students could help promote themselves for future workplaces. Often students are being picked on at school because of the clothing that they are wearing.
(“Point: The High Cost of School Uniforms”). If all PA public schools require students to wear uniforms, then the schools would be taking away freedom of expression during the week. Students in school who are growing up and transitioning to an adult world need to know how to live their own lives and be themselves, because eventually they won’t have someone there with them, helping them through things in life. Being themselves also means being able to express themselves the way the wish to. School uniforms are not only items that cause a lack of freedom of expression but also a largely ineffective way to help solve the problems they were meant to.
Dorothy Reed Grand Canyon University: 450 May 4, 2013 Abstract In this essay, I will be explaining ways that teachers are expected to carry themselves within the classrooms, as well as the school. This management plan will discuss the goals and expectations of each student present in my classroom. It will tell how it is important it is to have a safe environment for children to learn in. It will also talk about how behaviors will be handled, along with how students should conduct themselves in the classroom. Lastly, my plan will talk about how I will discuss and implement my strategies the classroom, as well as make sure the rules and procedures are clear and understood by all students.
First of all, students would greatly feel equal to one another if they all wore uniforms to school. Students get bullied all the time in school due to their choice of clothing style which would be eliminated completely through the use of uniforms. Also, no one would be judged on their clothing. Students cannot always afford the most expensive of clothes like most other students, which results in them being judged by others. There would not be any distinction between rich and poor when wearing uniforms to school.
You try to make not a lot of noise somehow everyone still ends up staring as you walk out. The CAHSEE is worse because if you don't pass, you won't graduate. Congratulations LAUSD, you've managed to make our lives even more stressful than they already are. Some may see the CAHSEE as easy as ABCs but not everyone does. I think the CAHSEE is out of the question, there's already other tests in the end of year to make sure we're learning.
One element of the message is that when you are going to school, that is your place of work. That is the place where you are working at getting smart." Joe Palumbo In my first argument I will state that the uniform removes any sort of competition between the students in the manner of clothing. One of the biggest problems that students in public schools face is that school is a place to learn and grow as a person, not show off. When students feel the need to inadvertently express themselves with what they were, it begins to separate them in more ways than one.
When students have less focus on what another student have on then they focus more on school work. Schools can even implement a dress down day, based on grades and behavior a student who earn the privileged to wear regular cloths, can one day of week. Even with the statistics of schools with decreased violence due to having a dress code or uniforms, some would say that dress codes don’t make a difference. One of the reasons opposing students and parents are against a dress code or uniforms are that students can’t express their selves with clothing. Parent and other dress code opponents also have concerns with the cost of uniforms, one rebuttal to that is students can adopt a uniform look but not necessarily uniforms.
