Shark Attraction Experience I spotted fish. We all did. Slender silver fish were all floating sideways on the surface of the water. There were hardly any at first, but they seemed to be duplicating as they gradually rose to the top of the surface. A young girl set her eyes on the fish and questioned her dad about it. Even she could distinguish the fake shark from the real dead fish. I accessed the amusement park station from the employee entrance. Just past the break room there is a miniature vibrant yellow gate passage. Even from there, I could smell it. I traveled up the ramp to the crows’ nest, wearing my uniform and name tag, and opened another yellow gate. I was immediately hypnotized by an old couch that appeared to be somewhat discolored and intensely saturated with lagoon water. I regained consciousness and raced back down the slippery ramp to the unload dock to find out which shift I had been placed in. Inside the wooden closet, on the far end of the unload dock there was a bulky chalk board with the assigned positions for each skipper during their shifts. I do not recall which rotation I was in charge of that day, but I do remember my ambitious attempts to gasp for air. When I met my first shift of the day, I detected more evidence on the catastrophe that accompanied the obvious chlorine-like foul odor. From the front of the boat, I noticed thick layers of hydraulic fluid gliding in metallic toned spiral shapes at the surface of the contaminated lagoon water. The water had been dirty ever since I began to work at the station, however that day all of the reasons for its typical doubtful appearance and scent became evident. The boat bordered the corner between the unload and load docks, and quickly approached the loading dock, where a skipper from a different department rapidly ticked off the passengers and closed the gate of my boat.
