They also made it to were children networks don’t have many commercials and air mostly education programs so that children are learning instead of killing the cells they could be building. Addressing the violence on television they once adopted the Television violence act which expired in 1993 say that broadcasting networks had to limit the violence in their programs. They also made it possible to block programs by passing an act called the Telecommunication act making television manufactures make a special chip to let parents block things that were not appropriate in parents’ opinions for children to watch. Different censorings are the aspect of blocking the television shows and channels you would prefer not to watch. The more violent acts that individuals see on television the more death and crime rates go up in the United States.
Alyson started to argue with her sister more often than before. As a result, both Alyson and her sister stopped talking to each other and now they tried to avoid each other. Marlene worked in sales and Richard went off to the army, which their divorce shortly followed. Richard did not keep in contact and Marlene worked a lot leaving Luna and Mark as latch key children to raise themselves. Marlene, several years after her separation from Richard started to date a man named Ron and Luna (age 4) did not like him because she knew he was not her father. Ron on occasion would drink, smoke, have affairs, and was abusive verbally, emotionally, and physically to Marlene, and sometimes to Mark, and Luna. Luna grew up feeling that she did not belong to this family and that she was adopted.
Written by Elizabeth Marquart talks about how divorce can cause children even from a good divorce go through it there selves when they get older, children also feel that they are to blame for their parents getting divorced and they lose all interest for other things, there is also a lot of controversy about which parent gets which day can just lead up to a huge custody battle for most. Divorce isn’t the best thing when you are a child it can
Each girl that was interviewed was pregnant, and every one of those girls had different opinions as to how they responded to the act and or thought of abortion. Barbara was one of the girls that were being interviewed in this documentary. In the documentary, she was a 17 year old mother with a 2 year old son. The father of her child was a violent man, which eventually led to them breaking up. When Barbara found out she was pregnant another time, she felt an abortion would be the best decision because she had little money to support her and her son already, and her mom said that she would not help her daughter with to have another baby.
Winfrey has stated she was molested by her cousin, her uncle, and a family friend, starting when she was nine years old, something she first claimed to her viewers on a 1986 episode of her TV show, when sexual abuse was being discussed. When Winfrey discussed the alleged abuse with family members at age 24, they refused to accept what she said. Winfrey once commented that she had chosen not to be a mother because she had not been mothered well. At 13, after suffering years of abuse, Winfrey ran away from
In the second reading, “Children and Television: Is SpongeBob Bad for Your Child”, I support that they are indeed bad television shows influencing the minds Of young children. By watching certain television shows children can be easily Persuaded to reenact the things they say on TV, (such as words they may hear or Things they may see.) I feel that it was a good idea for Ms. Eckerd to point out How shows can have a major influence on children and their brain development. In the third reading, “London Riots: Blaming Social Media”, I Pamela Brown Rutledge I support the fact that the condemnation of social media accelerates Behaviors because it creates social modeling –people see that other people are Involved and they’re encouraged. I support the fact that it has a big influence on Terrorism and riots as well.

Imagine a kid solving a puzzle -which will help to develop his brain- instead of watching TV; also this kind of activities will keep him safe from violence. Ratings: I have seen a TV channel specifying violence ratings, I cannot recall the channel but every time I see it has violence on it I change the channel. We shouldn’t have to watch a program to see if it is violent. Sometime we start watching a program just to see if it appropriate or not to watch and then we realized that even it has violence we watched the entire TV show I think ratings will work just
Depression and suicide goes back to preteens/children not being emotionally or physiologically mature enough to have sex. Since many young people will have sex to show the other partner that they “love” them, when in reality it isn't love and often leaves one of the two heartbroken which may lead to depression. Meeker also discuses obscene rap lyrics, lurid reports of teen orgies and the high school "craze" for oral sex and blames: post-60s permissiveness, the misguided association of condoms with safety and sexualized media imagery and gives examples of, the popular magazine Cosmopolitan and television series Ally McBeal. In the end her
