Sex education in Indian school or not Sex education is the study in which instruction on issues relating to human sexuality, including human sexual anatomy, sexual reproduction, sexual intercourse, reproductive health, emotional relations, reproductive rights and responsibilities, abstinence, birth control, and other aspects of human sexual behavior are taught. I think that sex education should be made compulsory in Indian schools. Making sex education compulsory will only be helpful for the child. There are multiple reasons on why should sex education be made compulsory. Sex education helps a child in many ways. It not only makes a person become open minded with the topic but also removes the taboo of the word sex itself from people’s mind. At an age when there are many hormonal changes taking place in a body, weather a boy or a girl, they tend to become curious about those changes. This curiosity makes the child distracted which only results in making that person find ways to satisfy their curiosity. To satisfy their curiosity, children often tend to surf net. This way the children unknowingly get addicted to movies and videos related to sex. Thus they get addicted to porn. Sex education helps answer the child’s question before he/she get addicted to porn, which is a better way to satisfy the curiosity than porn. Sex education is designed not only to make children aware of their changing bodies, but also to help them to protect themselves when they become sexually active from STDs and early pregnancy. We all have heard about girls getting pregnant in their teen age, so if they are given the knowledge of how to protect themselves and from these situations, it will help the girls prevent themselves to get pregnant in their teen age. Sex education not only educates girls of how to protect themselves but it also helps in making boys more open minded towards
