Explain how Christians make moral decisions. (25 marks) Christians have different ways of making moral decisions. Some rely on pure Biblical teaching, others on the Churches leadership, and others on their own conscience and others on Thomas Aquinas’ Natural Law. People of the Catholic Church believe Jesus gave His authority to Peter, and it has been passed down ever since, currently lying with Pope Benedict. The Catholic Church has a magisterium - its teachings have a God-given authority that is equal to the authority of scripture.
The role of the chaplain has changed considerably. Today, a chaplain has many duties, but in my opinion, only one objective. For the Evangelical Christian chaplain, the objective is to obey Jesus’ words in Matthew 28:18-20—to make disciples. The chaplain is a disciple-maker in the military context. “Making disciples” has been reinterpreted these days to mean “make converts.” I do not believe any Christian is called to merely make converts.
Liberty Theological Seminary Book Critique on Believer’s Baptism: Sign of the New Covenant in Christ Submitted to Dr. Christopher Moody in partial fulfillment of the requirements for the completion of this course THEO530- B02LUO Systematic Theology II June 26, 2015 Table of Contents Introduction……………………………………………………………………………………....3 Summary………………………………………………………………………………………….3 Critique ………………………………………………………………………………………..…4 Conclusion ………... ………………………………………………………………………….…7 Bibliography ……………………………………………………………………………………..9 Introduction In their book, Believer’s Baptism, the authors Schreiner and Wright attempt to incorporate their views on why baptism is essential in the Christian church. Along with its importance they also go further by promoting the believer’s baptism over infant baptism. They begin by attacking the Christian claim found among many that baptism is a trivial issue. They quickly negate this statement with an alternate point of view, that Christians who suffered persecution and martyrdom did not believe it to be so. Summary Placing aside the foreword and introduction, there are ten chapters or sections to this book.
Explain the ethical teachings of the Religion you have studied. (25 M) Christianity has multiple teachings and approaches which have been taken to it over time all these teachings and philosophical approaches to Christianity vary as you get situation ethics, natural law, the bible and the church showing different approaches which should be taken to Christianity. Natural law is the first teaching as it is widely used by the Roman Catholic Church as being the correct approach to Christian life; this theory was made by Aristotle but Thomas Aquinas expanded upon the thoughts and made it suit Christianity more. The key teachings of this theory are that everything has a purpose as Aquinas said Man desires happiness, what he believed by this is that we have to fulfil our purpose as humans. He said, in Summa Theologica, "Whatever man desires, he desires it under the aspect of good."

According to research, about 78.5% of Americans believe in Christianity. Infant baptism believes that baptism has replaced Old Testament circumcision and is the religious ceremony of initiation into the Christian community [4]. Amish endorse basic Christian beliefs, but they have their own understanding about the Bible [4]. They do not believe that a child can be meaningfully baptized. Contrary, they give a high value on voluntary adult baptism since they respect the voluntary decision by individual, so the Amish are also called “Anabaptist” which meaning “re-baptizer” in a Greek word
When one partakes in a Catholic communion, one is accepting the body of Christ. The greatest conflict and difference between the Catholic and Protestant churches is the question of transubstantiation versus consubstantiation; the Catholics and early Protestants had distinctive and unique beliefs about what happened during communion. The Catholics believed that every mass led to the miracle of transubstantiation, and the bread and wine actually became the body and blood of Christ. The Protestants saw it as more of a symbolic action. The first phrase of Ave Verum Corpus means ‘Hail true body’, and for Byrd, the most important word wasn’t Ave or Corpus, but Verum, because the word ‘true’ emphasized he was in the true presence of Christ when participating in the Eucharist.
