Environmental health: Most of the credit for my positive environmental health belongs to my girlfriend. She keeps our home clean and comfortable. After a long day at work, coming home to relax may be one of the most important things that I do on a daily basis to improve my overall wellness. Emotional health: I suppose my girlfriend gets credit for this as well. We have open lines of communication and talk to each other very easily.
She states that now that she is older, she still tries her best to take care of her body by going to the gym 2-3 times a week but this activity takes more out of her than before. She notices that the things that she used to do before now take a lot more energy and effort. However, she keeps very active and one of her passions is participating in walk a thons throughout the year. This she says helps in keeping her fit. She enjoys taking Salsa dancing classes and is also attending college part time to obtain her bachelor degree.
The OT will also make suggestions such as removing throw rugs or clutter that could make the walkways narrow. The Social Worker (SW) will determine the need of the patient. The SW will look at the basic needs of the patient, such as how he gets his groceries and how he cooks and cleans. The SW will also determine if the patient can qualify for additional help such as Medicaid or grant money that can help provide an in-home worker who will cook, clean, and buy groceries for the patient. The SW will also determine with the RN if the patient needs a medication dispenser which alarms at specific times and a Life alert type medical emergency bracelet or necklace.
Childminder A child minder is similar to a nursery in that they can offer long hours for working families. Childminders can be more flexible to help parents with shift work enabling the child to stay overnight or start early in the morning. They tend to care for the child within their own homes and will normally be the only adult. Their home will be inspected by Ofsted to ensure suitability. They also need to follow the EYFS for those under 5 and will record and plan activities each child’s development.
First I would like to say how accessible and convenient Small World makes to its parents and students. Small World opens at 5:45 a.m. and closes at 5:45 p.m. to help working parents with extended hours. I think this is fantastic considering the surrounding facilities have a strict policy of 8-5 operating hours. Each caregiver that is employed by Small World is given a state licensed background check, a reference check, and formal interviews, along with a drug screening before employment is finalized. Small World ensures safety, love, and quality care in every aspect of childcare and security/privacy is nothing short of just that!
I could finally be grandma it was great. But it was not quite over yet there where some issues that needed to be worked out like Julia’s drug use and her getting become drug free. Visitations where setup so she would see him at my house, the parties involved agreed that visitation remain under my supervision over the next few months to insure TeiJay safety. TeiJay was starting to show improved in his behavior and his grades in school over the last months of school improved tremendously I could see a great improvement as could everyone else. On June 19, 2012 it was determined that TeiJay live with his dad and mom would see him on weekends from Friday at six o’clock pm to six o’clock pm and he was not to spend the night anywhere but grandma’s house because of mom’s bad discussion making and the people she exposed him to.
I lived in my elder sisters hand-me-downs for many years. This has taught me, not only the value of money and material items, but also how to be patient. I can now employ patience within my work place, and can understand why life might be financially challenging for some of the elderly people that I look after. I was always considered as being a bit of a 'soft touch' when I was younger, constantly letting others have their way. In my older life, and particularly within my job role, this has taught me that I can be emphatic and sympathetic towards people.
Professionally, I would be sure to stay in the mode of awareness and understanding. These would guide my questions and my advice. My steps would be based upon the steady and procedural steps of ultimately integrating psychology with Christianity. My conversation would be rooted in my faith as well as my knowledge and analysis of my client’s emotional and spiritual well-being. Another aspect to enhance my counseling would be to share and develop my skills through collaboration with colleagues or other persons of interest in the client.
My table proves this true because I have a much higher number of steps on the days where I competed in both structured and unstructured activities. Also, when I followed through with my goals for the intervention weeks in terms of doing more stretching and resistance exercises I turned my Thursdays and Mondays into days where I stay strictly motivated and keep my mind on the benefits of my physical activity. I like to say that my motivational goals act as a psychological facilitator for my physical activity. I like to play disc golf or basketball, my two favorite hobbies, almost every day with my friends. This was a social facilitator that kept popping up whenever I recorded my physical activity in the past three weeks.
I rarely call in sick. I am conscientious about supplies that are used, being careful not to contaminate or use more supplies than necessary. When patients are admitted to our unit, I start discharge planning and instructions as soon as possible in order to make the discharge from the unit as expedient as possible. Professional development: I am able to improve my personal performance at work by attending continuing education courses, attending hospital training classes and inservices, and maintaining nurse licensure that is always in good standing. I read professional nursing journals and visit nurse websites in my free time to keep up to date on new trends, treatments, and medications.
