Schindler's List is a 1993 American biographical film about Oskar Schindler, a German businessman, who saved the lives of more than a thousand mostly Jewish refugees during the Holocaust by hiring them in his factories. In this movie, I have experience more phases of war and fear. The people were hired as a laborer, women, men and even a child. About 1100 people trying to survive from those devastated world, with a little hope of survive I can say they were on the stage of post conventional morality where they are trying to keep their society survive and live and also trying to continue their society functioning. The Jewish people are having very much trouble with the war what was going on their surrounding, but they keep moving as for their life and for their future which is been clearly explained by Kohlberg’s theory of “Post Conventional Morality”. There are many other factors to support this film for this stage as: Death and fear of death govern the lives of the Jews in Schindler’s List. Images of death pervade the film, usually in the form of executions, as people are shot in the head, often indiscriminately. But still they were standing up against those moments but did not speak against it which shows that they were under their control and obeying social order of their authority which is been clearly mentioned on this stage. Although, it is because of the fear and force that the army were using on Jewish, those Jewish have to stay silence but since, those acts and order are been mentioned for this theory, that respondents are working toward a conception of good society. In actual practice, Kohlberg says, we can reach just decisions by looking at a situation through one another's eyes. As in this situation Jewish are been executed, tortured and beaten if they didn’t work properly. Theoretically, one issue that distinguishes stage 5 from stage 6 is civil disobedience.
