But this injures students educationally as well. While the rest of the world references Vietnam in many of today’s situations or debates on whether Iraq is the next Vietnam and other issues, high school students are left out of the loop because their high school textbooks and teachers refuse to teach them what they should learn, what they ought to learn. High school students are hurt the most because of this. While textbook authors and editors are not likely to break away from the template soon, they should at least find a way around the system to provide pictures and information that would give students sufficient knowledge on the topic of Vietnam. That way students would be able to keep up with issues from which parallels to Vietnam are drawn or participate in such
Metal Detectors are the Safe Way ! Many students and teachers question why are there metal detectors in school. Students also say having metal detectors are a waste of time and causes a lot of hold ups in the morning. However haven’t you noticed that most of the schools that have had shootings in the past were due to the lack of metal detectors ? don’t you think a couple of minutes you’d spend on a line for metal detecting may save the life of another school mate or even yourself?
Working conditions: EMTs working in two person teams must move safely and quickly through traffic while obeying traffic safety laws. As the article goes on Shepard changes his position and argues on why podcasting is bad. One of the biggest cons about podcasting is that it encourages laziness. Students would be more apt to skip class and the professors would feel less inclined to focus on classroom instructional methods (4). The second reason why podcasting shouldn’t be in the classroom is because if the student did not understand the explanation because it was unclear, they could go back and listen to it as many times as they want but the podcast would still be unclear. Students would not be able to ask questions to the professors to help clarify.
The families are being taught various things that this essay will explain. Some of the lessons are completely agreeable, while others are a bit out there. Some reasonable lessons why children need to be taught are how to react and stay calm when natural disasters occur; while lessons that are taught on the show Doomsday Preppers like teaching a young child how to shoot a gun and be prepared for a post-apocalyptic zombie attack is quite unreasonable. The National Geographic channel says that “Doomsday Preppers explores the lives of otherwise ordinary Americans who are preparing for the end of the world as we know it. Unique in their beliefs, motivations, and strategies, preppers will go to whatever lengths they can to make sure they are prepared for any of life’s uncertainties.” The show only focuses on a certain amount of peeople, but there are millions of people across the world preparing for these things to happen.
Students may even try to steal the gun for their own use. Not to mention the amount of accidents that can occur by an un-experienced shooter. We must also keep in mind that being a teacher or part of the school staff does not make it a legitimate reason for one to carry a deadly weapon in an environment full of students. Teachers are only humans and can potentially lose control of their temper or even sanity, much like the several students who previously committed gun violence in schools. How can you judge and trust a person's character just by their status?
After that day school officials have been working with the county sheriffs’ office, conveniently located on campus, to help prevent anything like this from happening again. The school has since decided to perform random drug screenings and property screening monthly as a precaution to keep this sort of event from happening again. These searches could be a great benefit to our school, there would be lass students using drugs, GPA’s would increase, and our school would be a
