The responsibility of a teacher is to work within an educational background to fulfill students’ intellectual, emotional, physical, spiritual and psychological growth. The role, responsibilities and boundaries of a teacher are reflected in the teacher training cycle and cover five main points: Identifying needs, Planning and Designing, Delivering/Facilitating, Assessing and Evaluating. Adherence to these five points contributes towards quality with the teaching. To be a successful teacher one needs to have relevant qualifications with a thorough knowledge about the subject, the relevant literacy, numeracy and ICT skills. Management skills are another concern. With this background a teacher first prepares a scheme of work and session plans to ensure the subject is delivered successfully. To preparing this scheme of work and session plans a teacher must understand the needs of the organization and the learners. Needs of learners and learner backgrounds can be different. The teacher has to cater to all backgrounds. At times it will be necessary to cater to special needs such as disability and learning styles. On the whole, all learners need to be treated equally as individuals. This will be no easy task. But a good teacher will make every effort to understand the needs of both the organization and the learners to ensure the assigned responsibility is carried out successfully. A committed teacher is guided by the aims and objectives of a lesson and prepares with all necessary materials making sure the language used suits the quality of teaching and the information to be imparted. To successfully proceed with the teaching / facilitating the teacher has to provide sufficient, necessary knowledge to the learners. In this effort, a teacher is also required to use visual and auditory material to make the session interesting and worthwhile. Carefully
