Kealey Clark UNIT. 302 C Describe how my own values, beliefs, and experiances may affect my working practice. Everybody has different values, beliefs, and preferences. What you believe in, whats acceptable, important, and desirable is an essential part of who you are. My belief is to have a aim in life, and work towards it, whether it be a aim in life to work towards, whether it be higher qualifications to better my job prospects or working towards bettering my career path, each is a great belief for me to acheive as this will be beneficial to my children and improve my way of life.
Title Personal development as a manager and leader Unit Number 5001V1 Candidate James Marshall Within every job role and career there are opportunities to progress and become better at the current role or move into a new role. This can only be achieved if the individual undertakes continual self development. The organisations the individual works for will also have a role to play in how this is undertaken and to what organisational aims the development supports but ultimately every individual is responsible for their own development. As Pedler et al. (1994) put it “Self development is personal development, with the individual taking primary responsibility of his or her own learning and for chasing the means to achieve this”.
Our relationships with friends and family are crucial to our growth and without the support of loved ones; the transitional phase we must surpass can be difficult. Entry into a new world entails courage, motivation and perseverance, in order to adapt to new conditions in which one may encounter countless opportunities for growth and Development. I will be exploring this concept with ‘The Story of Tom Brennan’ and my related text The Blind side. 2. In the Story of Tom Brennan, Tom confronts a traumatic disaster which compels him to undergo physical relocation and antisocial emotional change.
Jobs that have specific qualifications or task that are defined should be a Person/Job Match. Jobs that are poorly defined should be a Person/Organization Match, that is matched with the vision of the company. Having specific knowledge, skills, and abilities is needed for some jobs but the greater needs for the company would follow a more general path. Having a general skill set such as flexibility, ability to learn, and communication skills will enable your department to place employees across a variety of jobs and develop their more specific talents as the company has needs. While any company wants to employ exceptionally quality minded employees they are also faced with the fact that they are less experienced than the acceptable quality workforce.
Since, I have been thinking of different ways of creating environments, seeing children’s strengths, abilities, and communicating with families during this class, I am going to briefly discuss two things I plan to implant in my professional experience. First, I would have a discussion with my supervisor and staff to come together to help enforce more universal design learning our facility. UDL is As I read the statement in “Early Childhood Inclusion: A Summary”, I came up with the conclusion of what the creation of a sense of belonging and membership, positive relationships and reaching full potential means when working with all young children and families. First, I would make sure that my classroom environment accommodates all my students and the parents feel comfortable with their child in the environment also. Throughout my teaching career and working with all children and families I have discovered that the best
The basic way of treating someone with respect is to ensure that their interest and welfare is at the forefront of all dealings and interactions with them. I have had a chance of working with children and young people with their families as a trainee teacher. I ensured that I understood what children wanted by asking their opinions and also giving them choices whenever possible. In communicating with the children and their families, I ensured I used their preferred names and gave them opportunities to raise issues of concern and ask questions. I gave the families a chance to give input on the child’s development plans and how well they felt the child’s welfare could be improved.
Finally * Outline challenging, clear career paths. Employees want to know where they could be headed and how they can get there. Annual reviews or midyear check-ins are one obvious venue for these discussion, but you should also encourage workers to come to you with career questions and wishes throughout the year. Q3. Why is mentoring and coaching of employees important in operational planning?
We also aim to retain these employees through their career in the learning and development industry. With that in mind, each manager should seek to understand if the employee development plan includes a position within Citi that may be available to the employee. The manager should work with the employee to ensure they are taking the right steps to become a candidate for the position they are seeking. This may include an opportunity to create a mentor relationship with other successful employees in a similar position. Compensation Plan The Learning and Performance Solutions group has developed a compensation plan that is meant to attract talent and retain staff employment.
Whenever someone is promoted to a higher position within our organization, they want the new employee to be well trained for their new position. They are placed with a mentor who has been in the position for a while and is lead by them until they are comfortable doing the job on their own. Through this mentorship the new employee is learning the ropes from their mentor or leader so to speak. Another form of behavioral leadership that I see at my current place of employment comes up when there are projects to be completed. There is always one person who in a way takes the lead on the project at hand.
The people are biased towards the ones with the money and power. In consequence, people end up lacking in certain social skills that would ideally help them become successful in life. It also expresses how hard it is finding and keeping the American Dream, and how love does not always last. Basically, what Fitzgerald is out to teach us with this novel is that it is difficult to make it in life with such corruption and bias. He also reveals that life is not always in one’s favor, and that people need to find a way to deal with the judgment of others while learning to deal with failure and emotional burdens.
