Condyloid: This is an oval shopped articulating surface where one bone fits into a depression of another bone. Planar: This is a plane joint with no axil in which the articular surface is flat or only slightly curved. This allows slipping or gliding movements.
Jugular vein shows no distension. No bruits heard. Abdomen round but not distended, left quadrant symmetrical to the right upper and lower, no visible peristalsis or aortic pulsation noted; no bruit Bowel sounds present in all four quadrant. No guarding noted, 7 cm old scar noted on right lower quadrant secondary to appendectomy. Tympanic sound noted during percussion, Liver and spleen intact, no enlargement noted, no hepatic friction rub or splenic rub heard on auscultation.
The statue is that of a nude young man striding forward. The figure was once painted in order for it to have a skin tone and more detailed eyes and hair. Unfortunately, due to the statues old age, the paint is no longer visible. Like all kouros statues, the Metropolitan Kouros is entirely freestanding, fully carved on all sides. The figure’s head, feet and hands are each pointed straight forward, putting an emphasis on the frontal view.
St. Cecilia is shown recumbent on her right side, her veiled head turned such that she faces the marble slab beneath her. Three cuts are evident on her neck and there is a small protrusion at the base of the largest cut. Her body is dressed in a flowing garment with her waist drawn with a narrow sash. Her arms are slightly flexed, dropped forward and down in front of her body. Her right hand extends two fingers; her left extends the forefinger.
These planes divide the body into front, back, right and left and top and bottom. Body direction represents movement away from these planes. The frontal plane is the vertical plane that divides the body into front and back sections. The front part of the body is the anterior section and posterior is the back part of the body. Prone is the face down position and being dorsal is lying on the back.
Usually constricted in the clothes she wears, in this scene, Suzy is completely free and down to simple basics, just like her relationship with Sam. Sam: Sam, just like Suzy, is wearing barely any clothing in this scene. He is in his underwear and the shirt he wears for his Boy Scout troop. His shirt is unbuttoned, revealing his bare chest. This is a completely different look; usually Sam looks very polished and put together.
Extraocular movements intact. HEAD AND NECK: Normocephalic and atraumatic. Trachea midline. Neck is supple. No evidence of masses.
Legal documentation and history for the subject was non-existent; therefore, age was assessed by examining the erupted lateral and central incisors, and canines. The complexion (overall skin coloration) appeared pinkish-white indicating that (1) the subject was well nourished and (2) physical development appeared average. Rigor mortis and livor mortis were absent. There were negative signs of peripheral edema; swelling of tissues, usually in the lower limbs, due to the accumulation of fluids. The conjunctival surface of the eyes presented no signs of petechial hemorrhaging; capillary hemorrhage into the skin, forming petechiae.
It has 5 visible branches coming out of it, but all are completely empty. The only thing on the hangar is a small metal bowl which is placed on a stand all the way on the top of the hanger. Despite the hanger being empty, the woman’s clothes are lying of the floor, in front of the mattress. As previously stated, the woman is completely naked on the bed. She does not seem to pay any mind to this, however, and appears to be rather contempt with herself.
The astronaut is a toned, well-proportioned young man. He is naked apart from shoes, gloves and his life preserving oxygen unit. His dark hair is thick, shiny and well groomed. He holds the woman in his arm, resting her gently between his chest and thigh. His eyes are fixed intently upon her.
