It was disjunct with very small intervals. The big differences in the music’s range made it resemble a conversation between two people with very different voices. I was not expecting the ending to come, especially because it was very abrupt with no warning. I felt as though I was caught off guard the whole time, and so I was not a big fan of this piece. The second piece called Volume was only performed by two men, the previous conductor and another performer on the Steel pan drums.
During the concert Luke Bryan played a lot of his hits, but there were a few that were chart toppers that he didn’t sing. At the end of the concert when he left the stage everyone start to scream and yell for more. People were going crazy not wanting the concert to end. After a few minutes Luke Bryan came back out on stage and started to sing a crowd pleaser which was a ballad called “Do I”. This song hit home to be because one of the first concerts my fiancée and I ever went to was for an artist that Luke Bryan opened up for.
Suddenly, in a blare of drums and guitars the stage became the center of attention as Uncle Kracker took the stage. Running through a set list of his most popular songs, the audience parroted back the lyrics as he moved around the stage in an obvious show of his years of experience as a performer. I am not a fan of Uncle Kracker’s music and his performance did not change my opinion. Uncle Kracker and
Whenever he would play the room would go crazy standing ovation all throughout his solo. Armstrong once got someone to fill in for him. and once the replacement started to play people started to cheer in expectation of it being Armstrong. once it was recognized that it was an imposter the cheers quickly died down. This was just the grip that Armstrong had on the jazz game.
people of all different color coming together to accomplish something for the common good of the town. the fire blazed on, refusing to surrender. i had started the fire only meaning to draw attention away from T.J. not to create a disaster. i had anticipated the extinction of the fire to be difficult, however this task proved to be to be far more labor-intensive and wearisome than i had thought. after a couple hours i gave up hope.
Colbie is amazing singer with a great personality. The concert was pack with just about every seat filled. The reaction of the audience was an amazing, we all were singing and dancing to her songs. The audience stood up and swayed their arms to the sound of “Chariot,” and went crazy for Gavin DeGraw’s latest single; the No. 1 hit “Not Over You,” especially when Colbie Caillat came back out to the stage to do the duet with Gavin Degraw.
Jimi Hendrix’s version of the “Star Spangled Banner” became the highlight of the festival. Conclusion- Review of Main Points: Today I have talked about what made Jimi Hendrix’s music so famous, the group he formed The Jimi Hendrix Experience and the Woodstock festival that he played at that made people love his music even more. Restate Purpose: The purpose for this speech was to inform you about Jimi Hendrix and what he accomplished in his short life time. I hope you all go and listen to at least one of his songs and then you will see what a great musician, singer and song writer he really
This frightened the people of the time because no one knows exactly what will happen in the end of it all, when you die, but no one wants to live a life of hell, pain and torture. “The devil is waiting for them, hell is gaping for them, the flames gather and flash about them, and would fain lay hold on them, and swallow them up.” (Edwards 46). The piece was written at the beginning of the Great Awakening, when the old Puritan ways were fading and the Christian religion was rising. Because the Puritan religion was becoming a thing of the past, the reverends used scare tactics to drive the “unregenerate” Christians who had not confessed to being born again into God’s grace, into thinking that they were not saved. The Great Awakening caused mass hysteria from the fear instilled in the people of the
One last scream is ringing out, slowly fading away like a passing ambulance. The crackling, distorted noises coming from the guitar amp are getting quieter and quieter as each second passes like someone turning down the volume knob on a radio. A heavy moment of silence weighs down the room before an abrupt explosion of cheering and applause is all anyone can hear. All the members of the band gather side by side on stage like the cast of a Broadway musical and give one last bow. The Chariot now moves on to the next show on their tour to do it all
Langston Calhoun Professor Gardner Music 004(online) April 22, 2012 The Concert To Remember #2 The United states Air Force Band of the Golden West has one of the most significant music selection I have ever heard. They have there organization to complement there great performance. Before each song they would tell you the song followed by where the inspiration came from. I really enjoyed hearing all of that because it makes you appreciate the music just as much. Captain Haley Armstrong led the band to a wonderful performance.
