1. There are many different factors and elements that contribute to ones overall personal health and ability to function day to day- physical health, social health, environmental health, spiritual health, intellectual health, and emotional health. These elements all play a key role in a person’s ability to maintain a happy life. As our group surveyed each element, we realized focusing on our physical health would greatly benefit our general wellbeing. Physical health focuses on the body’s shape, size, physical fitness, and the ability to perform normal activities of daily living. A lack in physical activity can lead to illness, chronic diseases, and early death. We chose to focus on our physical health because we wanted to avoid illnesses and early death, and to improve our strength, endurance, and eating habits while participating in a physical activity that encourages physical fitness for the long term. 2. In order to improve our strength and endurance we decided to try rock climbing. Not only does it require a significant amount of muscle, but also it is enjoyable and challenging. Our first goal was to take baby steps to achieving our goal, first meeting once a month, then continuing to increase our activity to once a week. We hoped that the more frequently we went and with the support and encouragement of our peers the better and stronger we would become. Our team hoped rock climbing would improve our overall physical fitness and ability to work as a team to achieve a goal that is beneficial for our future health. 3. Our team health program was based on communication. We were all very open about the goals we wanted to achieve through rock climbing at Planet Granite. In order for us all to be able to rock climb we had to pass a couple personal and implemented tests. Our first test was to figure out if we were all comfortable with the idea of
