People start to curse and get all infuriated. Also, I have seen car accidents from people just driving straight into the slow driver’s car. Safe driving rules state that the right lane is for slower moving vehicles and the left lane is the passing lane. You might think that this is just a belief and not reality but from outside research it’s awfully realistic. It’s such a problem that legislators are stepping in and trying to pass bills and laws.
There are many similarities and differences between texting while driving and drinking while driving. Some of these differences and similarities would have to be that they both are illegal, they both impair the driver and they both cause accidents, injuries and death. Please let me remind you that they are both very dangerous and many people do them both every day. However, one can be more dangerous than the other, but I let you, the reader, decide which one is the most dangerous based upon the comparison and contrast I will make regarding texting while driving and drinking while driving. Both texting while driving and drinking while driving is illegal in all the United States.
Texting while driving is just as dangerous as driving drunk or high. It can put your own you safety in jeopardy. Every time you text while driving your putting your life at risk and whoever around you life’s at risk. The people around you can be affected by you texting and driving. The current P-plate laws are extremely affective in reducing accidents on the road. This is because they deal with many of the dangers p-plate drivers face while driving, including distractions, driving speed, peer pressure and driver safety. To begin with, the current p-plate laws are affective in reducing accidents while driving because they deal with the important issue of distractions. An example of a distraction that is dealt with by the current p-plate laws is mobile phones. Mobile phones cannot be used by p-plate drivers when driving or while the car is moving or stopped but not parked. This helps to stop accidents because it removes distractions from a p-plate driver so they can focus solely on driving.
Tom has always sped through red lights because the cops were never there to catch him or nothing bad has ever happened so why should he stop now? His luck came to a screeching stop one day when as the light turned red Tom ran the red light again like it was no big deal, but this time a little girl was crossing the street after seeing the motion light signaled her across. Since Tom thought that he was above the law and he will now appear in court not for a speeding ticket but for murder. If there was red light traffic cameras at all major intersections then Tom would have slowed down at the fear of getting a ticket. Traffic light cameras should be used at all major intersections to prevent common traffic violations.
Back during the Scarlett Letter, townspeople didn’t have that option due to the lack of technology. Instead, what they would do to inform citizens of the crime is walk around and verbally invite them to the scaffold, and let them witness from there. If an individual wasn’t able to attend, they would have to find out a different way. Public awareness wasn’t broad back then, unlike today where we have all the technology, and even the simplest things to inform
Texting while driving is irresponsible and extremely dangerous, not only to the driver texting, but to everyone close by. It only takes a second for a disaster to occur on the highways, and texting takes the driver's attention off the road for more than a second. Texting or calling while driving has the potential to cause a serious car accident that can have fatal results. Speaking on a cell phone is already illegal in many states. Texting while driving is even more dangerous.
People text all the time and don’t pay attention to the street lights. 2. Also, you could hit a construction worker, that is working on our roads. III. Teenagers risk their lives everyday texting and driving, and a lot have teens have been killed from texting.
Florida Ban While Texting Law penalizes your license but you do not receive a ticket for it. Laws like this should be abolished, as well as the freedom to use your phone at a traffic stop or jam. In the state of Florida, they even have laws for motorcyclists. They are allowed to listen to music and use cellphones at certain times when on the motorcycle. The laws that are currently enforced in Florida are not necessarily serving a purpose to the people because accident rates are the same as well as deaths from distracted driving.
Texting while driving has become a major cause of accidents, especially among young drivers. When texting, you are too focused on your conversation instead of the road. This not only puts the driver of the vehicle is harms way; it creates an unsafe environment for all those in and around the automobile. Is a text message really that important? I highly believe that texting while driving should be illegal.
