September 27th 2012 Josh Fewer ENG 3U Mrs. Breault Satire/Parody Every day is a new beginning. A brand new start and everybody has an opportunity to flourish and put their skills on display. In high school, you’re given the opportunity to make friends due to a system. To many, it’s a very psychological and natural event that sorts people that share similar traits, into various groups. Any guesses?
Voting for me would allow them to have a better secretary for the rest of the year and possibly a better representative next year. By voting for me to go to CASL, my classmates would benefit because we would have a better & experienced leader in their class. I have shown major commitment and dedication to both leadership and my class. Every single day (even Mondays), I am early and ready to learn how to become a better leader. I have also been at almost every single workday the freshman class has had for all required events.
To be able to achieve a superior rating at these contests, one must practice every week. I have been able to achieve superior ratings in all but one of my performances. It is very rewarding to me, being goal oriented, to receive such high ratings. There may be challenges, but there are more rewards. Think back to when you were in high school - your first relationship, your best friends, all of the fun that you had.
“Bridge Builders seeks to develop among high school students a group of future leaders who can lay aside individual and cultural differences and work for the benefit of all.” This is the mission statement for Bridge Builders which is a program that I participated in my junior year of high school, and now actively involved with my senior year. The program, without a doubt, lives up to its mission statement. During the program we participated in leadership, personal, and team building activities. The program’s methods taught me how to be a great leader in any situation, whether I was leading myself or a group. I also made life-long friendships, and I am still meeting new people at our meetings that we have during the school year.
Deshaun Wilson English 1002-40619 9/5/12 ULM’s Greatest Organization Being involved on campus was always one of my main goals. Campus Activities Board, also known as CAB, is a great way for me to achieve that goal. Campus Activities Board is an organization that host many activities and events on campus throughout the school year that allows you to meet new people, gain leadership skills, have lots of fun, and learn an abundance of new things. If you’re always bored, CAB is the organization responsible creating great events. For example, the awesome Spring Fever week, an event that most students won’t miss, at the end of April.
Fair season seems to create discussion around that point each year. We hear about good sportsmanship, character, winning and losing. Competition is on the minds of children and adults whether it be at ball games, soccer games, swimming or at county fair. Involvement in competition takes understanding and reinforcement from leaders and parents. Being a good participant and competitor is very important to every child.
The school will be affected by my role because as a team we will plan events that all classes participate in and hopefully enjoy. 6. I was motivated to seek this position because I had experience being a part of SGA before. I enjoyed being a part of the team and now as a rising senior I would like to take on more responsibility because I know I can handle it. I’ve seen the work that goes into planning some of these events

I’ve been thinking. The hundreds of college kids that devote undetermined amount of time honing their craft should start getting paid for their efforts. What they do is benefitted by millions and these kids manage to bring hope for the future to each of us year in and year out. They represent integrity, honesty, and the will to accomplish your dreams by simply working hard and setting the proper example for today’s youth. What they do in their short time at their respected universities will be remembered for many life times and be used as inspiration for the next generation of students waiting in the shadows to take their place.
