In life we go through tough times and temptations that can distract us from what is important, and that is maintaining a relationship with God as well as being a responsible citizen. Faith is substantial to our lives as believers in Christ. Having faith in God is important in our lives, and it can be critical when we are faced with arduous situations. It provides a sense of tranquility even in our most obscure days. Along with maintaining faith we should also be responsible citizens. The two go hand and hand. There are certain requirements that should be met when following faithful citizenship. One of the requirements is to vote. As citizens of the United States our vote is our voice. When voting, we are in fact telling the world how we feel based on what the candidate believes in, and we are also helping construct the future for our communities.There are three main issues that affect us as members of the church. We, as Catholics, are pro-life. Some of the issues that we face today that have to do with being pro-life include abortion, euthanasia, the death penalty, and genocide. Those are just half of the factors. Another issue is the protection of marriage which is marriage between man and women and also the protection of human rights. When we vote it is important to have a faithful conscience and remember what our church believes in. I strongly believe that when we vote we do this because we are not only pleasing our communities by doing this but we are also pleasing God. Another requirement that we have is advocacy. In other words we need to stand up for what is right. Advocacy goes hand in hand with our beliefs as Catholics. Some of the characteristics,are voting,
