In the paper” Social Time: The Heartbeat of Culture “, Robert Levine does a survey on the differences of living in six countries. He says that Japan has the highest speed of life then becomes America, England, Italy, Taiwan and Indonesia. Levine calculated the speed of life by three factors; how accurate country’s bank clock, how fast the people walk and how long took a postal office to sell us a stamp. However, the first thing crossed my mind as I am reading the essay that I disagree with the writer that these factors are accurate in judging the punctuality in these countries.
