Research Project, Zoe Kyprios Assessment type 3: Evaluation Written Summary I investigated the process and cost of wedding planning. Prior to my research I had minimal knowledge about weddings, as I hadn’t attended one before. There were three main parts to my research, the first was acquiring knowledge about weddings and their components, the second was to gain information about the process of planning a wedding and the third was to construct a pretend plan of my own, working with a budget. In the first part of my research, I researched the different ways in which people can marry and the differences between culture, law and tradition using mostly Internet and magazines. The second part of my research was based on planning processes. Information was gained by speaking to people who have been married and experts in the field. Once I had enough information to work with, the third part of my research was to construct my own plan around a budget, where I had use of websites, personal contact, email contact and phone contact to gain information. My outcome was an Internet article for brides, providing a guide and tips to the wedding planning process. Evaluation of Research Processes The first component of my research investigated differences between culture, law and tradition. I researched Australian traditions and compared them with traditions from other cultures to see which traditions were common and which weren’t. This research involved mostly use of internet articles and magazine articles. I chose these research processes for this component because I had limited time between the three components of my research and I believed it was the quickest, easiest and most effective way to find information about other countries.
