Remembrance Day is not only celebrated in one country. Every country has a day like Remembrance Day to remember soldiers who have died. In Canada this day is on November 11th. This day is called Remembrance Day. In Canada we remember soldiers who were killed in other countries, in wars that were and were not Canada’s. In this essay I will talk about what it means to be a peacekeeper and what I think it must have been like to be a doctor who has to take care of badly hurt soldiers. I will also talk about what Canadian soldiers thought about before going to war. A peacekeeper is someone that stays in the middle of two fighting sides. They have to run to injured soldiers all day long. I think that they are very brave because I would get pretty disgusted and throw up if I had to see all that blood all day long. I think that before the war, the doctors might not have realized that it was going to be so dangerous. I think that before going to war some soldiers think that it is going to be fun and that they are going to fly on some expensive airplanes for free. But then, in one moment the fun is gone and the only thing left is the sad and scary truth that they are in war. Sometimes they might realize this too late. I think it is very important to remember and think of the veterans because, a lot of people died so we can sleep peacefully. If we don’t remember, it is like us
