People will often ask what makes a good or long lasting relationship. In truth there is no one answer, what works for some will not work for others, it’s about finding the balance that suits the both people. At the beginning of a new relationship, the excitement of being in that relationship helps us to not see the things the other person does which may cause annoyance. At this stage in the relationship both parties find themselves faced with everyday realities which means they have to work at the relationship to find and maintain a balance. When couples are faced with life changing events or illnesses the balance changes quickly and they will find themselves in the difficult position of facing their own feelings and fears while trying to support each other.
Once the barriers have been identified I should look to overcome these. Barriers can be overcome and this can improve my skills and knowledge. These are the barriers that I am likely to face: • Not enough funding to access training • Training courses being cancelled • Not enough time • Language barriers • Some learners think they know it all so don’t understand why they have to do refresher training • Social and personal barriers, where some people cannot attend due to not having child care or appointments may clash with training • Health issues. EXERCISE 1 I applied for this course because I felt I was stuck in a rut and needed a change, I am also approaching a landmark age and felt that this was a good time to make that change. I am very nervous about starting the course but also excited. I hope to meet some new friends and also to broaden my horizons. My expectations of the course are that I hope it helps me with my self confidence and to be a better person in myself. My fears for the course are that I discover some things about myself that I may not like but I suppose it is all about self discovery as well.
A person with dementia is often frustrated, sometimes angry, and we need to realise this as part of their condition, and that we should not react in a way that would provide further anguish to them. They may also act inappropriately towards you or others. It can be difficult for them to understand that this is not appropriate, so the carer must diffuse the situation calmly and discreetly. A carer must always be understanding of the condition so they are able to provide the correct level of support. 4.1 Explain the difference between a reality orientation approach to interactions and a validation approach.

The task of telling the families about their loved ones being trapped, and knowing the outcome was not in their favor was stressful and not something to be taken lightly. Consulting and comforting the families proved to be difficult for the mine’s management staff. The families were very emotional and the staff was also shaken by this disaster. They had to use the right words, the right tone, and the right body language to show that they were trying to remedy the situation while also being sympathetic to the family’s needs and
We have found ourselves at times to be guilty of the negatives that come with functional organization. We’ve spent so much time focusing on our particular function, that it’s harder for us to understand the goals of our co-worker’s functions, and would just write them off as not being a qualified employee because they don’t understand our particular function at work. This can help us take a step back and further analyze our organization’s structure and what we can do differently to help understand it better and contribute better to the organization’s overall
I want to dictate what I want my future to look like and want I want to experience through that journey. During the past several years I have a way started on a path of possible enlighten. I have come to the realization that I need to sometimes be selfish and worry about my well being first and foremost. How can I make the strongest impact on others if I’m not in a good physical or mental state? If I try to please everyone, I will burn out and feel terrible when expectations are not met.
“A Rose For Emily” has had a profound impact on me. Though the story made me sad, it also served in uplifting my intellectual reasoning and understanding of the current state surrounding us. The situation in the world today is quite discouraging especially to those who do not make rational decisions early enough in their lives. We, therefore, need to reason first before taking any
One of my greatest struggles is fear of failure and fearing I may make the wrong decisions in my life, even when it comes to the small things.
